Poll traffic not wanted?

Anyone doing polls and feeling this? First Hydra closes the door to all polls; today my AM at a big network told me to stop sending the traffic I was sending (using polls) because the advertiser didn't like it. I can't figure how marketers consistently make money with polls when it seems that the traffic is not wanted. Comments?

are your polls related to the offers you're promoting?

My polls are current events polls, so no, not directly related.

that might be your problem right there with the network not liking your leads. try to make them as related as possible. that way the leads convert for the merchants on the backend. i've sent thousands of leads to networks via polls and have never had that problem.

Google doesn't like polls either. If your account is manually reviewed, it will be slapped.

1. all my poll traffic is from google, and they have slapped another campaign big time with bids so crazy I had to stop it, but they have not stopped my polls. Getting traffic for polls is no problem with google. I get tons.
2. Thanks for the idea about poll subjects matching the offer. But, that seems hard. I mean, if I'm promoting a grocery gift card, do I do a poll on food? How many people would click on that? could you please give me an example of what you mean. Thanks!!!!

i too am wondering how to relate polls to specific offers? it seems not very interesting to someone viewing it.

Did you hide your traffic ? You can cloak it or use double meta refresh cuz most of CPA network don't like poll methods. I use this trick :

ads -> poll -> CPA offer / landing page -> lead

All you have to do is hide this traffic between poll and CPA offer / landing page - so your AM won't know where your leads come from - that's it. You'll be alright, buddy ! BTW you can use Tracking202 (web-based) or Prosper202 (hosted) to do this and they both are FREE.
