Ok I have been running ppc campaign in adwords for last 45 days and trying to maximize my revs. These are the results:
432 conversions with avg $5.5 cost
I get paid $20 per conversion
total run time 45 days and still running
Still tuning my adcopy and adding more keywords daily
also starting to capture other traffic sources

Samos, I have no intention to spam you with any offers. I saw many folks claiming how much they are making per day or per month and some up to $10k/day - I make that in a month, so nothing special there.

I learned how to better plan my campaigns. Also, how to use a spreadsheet to organize the data. I learned a little more about keyword research, though I already know much of it. I learned how to think about things, which is as important as how to do it.

I think you video has an older version of google adwords, I don't see a way to import the campaigns and ad groups, just the keywords. It looks like I have to manually create each of the many campaigns and ad-groups now? Then import the keywords?

Why can't you pick all the keywords from Google's adwords keywords tool? Why are you going to Google and typing in terms into the search box and picking them from there. Those same keywords are in the tool.

And you say that you will be direct linking to the merchants landing page. I don't see how you can do that when Google does not allow affiliates to direct link. What destination URL are you putting in there? It won't match your CJ encrypted url if you are direct linking.

Do you mind if I ask a few questions?

1) Is it possible to import the ad-groups, and adverts, as well as the keywords? I see how to import keywords, but the other two seem to be manual.
2) Why have a separate campaign for google-search and another for partner-search? It does make for double the work, especially if we can't import the adverts and ad-groups.
3) How about content network? Do you advertise there? If not, why?
4) In the video, you mention "if you want to make your own landing page". It seems that google gives a bad Q-score if I direct-link to the CPA offer.. So this is essential, rather than "if"?
5) In "Destination URL" you are using "sid={keyword}. Does that mean you are using a PHP file instead of an html file? How are you tracking those SID? Or is that a direct CPA link, so you will see it in the CPA reports? Is it OK to share that info with the CPA company, they will know your keywords?
6) In "Destination URL" you also have "se-1", "se-2", "se-3" etc. What is the purpose, is it to track which advert is performing? They seem to be the same advert text, so really they are the same advert?
7) Do you normally start with a higher bid then cut back later?
8) Do you recommend a different landing page per ad group? If ad-group-1 is centered around the keyword "sears shoes", and ad-group-2 is centered around "sears tires", then a different landing page is recommended for each ad-group, right?

You can direct linking to an affiliate page.

There are many more keywords that will not show up google's keyword tool, for eg. you will notice that [keyword] coupon or [keyword] promotional code or [kwyord] space com will not not show up in the tool. From yhoo and google's search box you'll pick some keywords that searches is being done on.. specially for new keywords. For example if something has just hit "As Seen on TV" it'll take time for google's keyword tool to inventory those and maybe weeks to a month to show them, whereas if searches are being made on this "new" launch it'll start to show up in search box -- also you can see the number to searches.

As for DL, its allowed by google. However only 1 display URL per keyword. The destination URL matches the landing page url.

Yes, but if the merchant is already linking to that url in their Adwords campaign or there is some other affiliate direct linking who has an established campaign running, then good luck having your ads show up.

1) If you use Adwords editor like I do in the video you can do it.
2) Yes its double the work, however bids are different on partner networks and google. Bid them apart so that there is no 'bleeding' b/w the two.
3) Once search is up and running then I move to content - but that's just a personal preference and not a rule.
4) Q-score can be bad on a direct-CPA offer too as well as on your LP. You'll be surprised how many CPA offer LP has really useless I mean to the bot. If you use the keyword tool and type the direct-CPA offer you;ll find what keywords google finds. I have seen CPA offers on AZ that are just rehashed from dieting offer to skin cream offer, so your LP may be better for bot.
5) Correct {keyword} is for tracking purposes and you are 100% right in that we should not share that info with the network. You can create a quick html script (I have one if anyone needs it) for tracking or use tracking202.
6) same as 5.
7) Correct start with higher bid and then lower it, gain CTR first
8) If the keywords are so different then yes shoes and tires may not sell from same landing page, create 1 general domain and different lp's. I would also focus on either shoes or tires to start with and then once thats up and running do the other.

And that is where there is a big hole in his video. I am sure it is intentional. I can say one thing, which is that the way he set up those campaigns, most likely those ads WILL NOT run. There were almost three pages of ads running for that affiliate offer. He HAS TO create a landing page if he wants his ads to run. Ask him to show you his landing page. He will not. And that is fine, nobody would.

You can direct link sometimes, but for USA search, it is higly unlikely that your ads will show if you do that.

Q: Do you actually MAKE the money with the KW mentioned in the video?
If so..uhm...i wouldn't have reveiled the KW.

I think it is interesting that you actually used this KW and long tail for this KW...because i personally would already be scared of the keyword since that particular keyword is EU4.00 <-----

I see you are bidding $0.51.....

The video is good, but i think the most important part is actually HOW to get all those long tails and more keywords, based on the MAIN KW (C.D.)....since C.D. obviously will never show for $0.51 since the KW $4.50 ...

But the video is not TOO detailed how to gather all those keywords.

Add:

* You're loading a LOT of KWs into one adgroup???
* you using BROAD match????

In the video I reveal, the keywords the adcopy the merchant and showed you the conversions. I have displayed step by step the methodology that I have adopted to be successful in ppc. You are seeing 3 pages of ads now for the merchant, how do you know the same was true several months back when I started it and very few folks had the clue. Again, these are series of steps that you can adopt and be a success, there is always going to be some fine tuning with each campaign you launch.

What you showed is the step by step methodology for creating an Adwords campaign. While that is definitely good and useful information, it is NOT the methodology to be succesful in ppc. It is only one part of it.

How do I know? Because you told us that this is the way you decide if it is a good offer. You said in the video, look there are three pages of advertisers here, that is good. So, now you are saying that was wrong? Are you saying that people should look for offers with no advertisers like you are now claiming you did? That contradicts your advise in the video.

If there are 3 pages of advertisers, your ad WILL NOT show if you direct link the way you described in the video. Do you admit that the steps you followed in the video, if somebody else did the exact same thing for that same merchant that their ads would not show? Do you agree to that?

I have used some free strategies to gather keywords, however you are welcome to buy a tool like keywords spy etc. Here some of them that I used:

1. Google's trusted free Keyword tool
2. Look for related searches at the bottom of Google's page, you can extract lots of related and competitive keywords right there. If you click on a few you'll discover more keywords within Google.
3. The Google suggestions when you start typing your search – Yahoo was the pioneer in this and now others have adopted. Google also provides you each keyword's search volume which you can again drill to find more.
4. Look at other adcopy's out there for your niche. You can find more ads under “More Sponsored Link” and then see what your competition is using. Most likely the phrase they are using have been researched already using 'paid' keywords tools.
   
   And these 2 you can use too:
5. The new search based tool that discovers keywords on your website - http://www.google.com/sktool/#
6. New Wonder Wheel tool – you can search for it in Google. I have been using this excellent tool lately and found deep niches.

I'm use 1 keyword per adgroup per match type.

I think the reason why people were not really impressed is coz it didn't realy go further to creating a campaign. and everybody can just create a campaign.
if you could show results and twikings on a specific campaign , and show it really works, you'll have people here running after you. i know i would.

i'm saying this coz i'm using direct linking now on other niches and sure i can create a new campaign, my grandmother could do that too, but not me and not her are able to make it profitable
