Default Best Place To Buy Banner Advertising For CPA?

Does anyone have recommendations on the most effective places to buy banner advertising to promote CPA offers?

Google the niche you want to target, the visit the most popular sites. They will have an advertise link somewhere. Expect to pay between 20 and 40$ CPM

I'd say you're best of using AdWords content network if the offer is very specific.
If it's generic, like dieting or something, than MSN and Yahoo provide better conversion rates, although less traffic.

Really need more information on the niche you're promoting to give a better idea. i.e. LinkedIn works great for things like business needs, yet is crap at pretty much everything else. MySpace worked great for diet till they banned it, etc.

You can use a tool like Content Bully to find high ranking websites that use Google Adsense. It will tell you what types of ads they run if they use Google Adsense. It searches Yahoo, MSN (Bing?), and Google for high ranking websites related to a certain keyword.

You can choose from several countries including the US, Australia, Canada, Germany, Austria, Brazil, China, France, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and Turkey.

Of course you can do this yourself by typing keywords into the various search engines. But, it can save you a lot of time and guess work if you are looking for websites that run on the content network.

I am not affiliated with Content Bully in any way. I use it personally and just thought it would be a helpful suggestion.

Placement Locator by Armand Morin may be more powerful. I don't know as I have not used it yet. It says on his website that they will be adding 2 more "sources" in the next version. I guess that would be Yahoo, and MSN's content network?

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the replys.

From your experience, which works better (lower cost & targeted traffic): Google placement banner ads or buying banners on individual web sites from the site owner?

Sorry bwall this is NOT from my personal experience, but most experts I have heard from recommend starting with Google placement banner ads and then bypassing them by buying ads directly from the site owner.

I think it would be better to listen to the interview below for the most accurate information regarding banner ads.

Here is a link to an interview with a Dr. Ngo a media buying expert Wes Mahler - Building A Company To One Million Dollars A Year In Sales Blog Archive Interview with Dr Ngo ( Charles Ngo ) On Media Buys

Curious where you got the $20-$40 CPM figure...

I highly doubt it would be a good idea to run any campaign at those figures, no matter how targeted the traffic is...

Another tip that might be helpful...

Visit sites in your niche that display banner ad's...hover your mouse over the ad and check the url...

Usually, the link is a tracking one that specifies which banner network they are using..

Eg. http://tracking.tribalfusion.com/advertiser/etc....

Then, just visit the tracking domain and inquire further...

eg. www.tribalfusion.com

I use adbrite advertising.. It is cheap and works decently for my CPA.
