Default Having some success with polls....

After a lot of testing, I am finally having success with polls. My profit yesterday was $90, the day before was $78; I have also been profitable five days before, in the $20 to $50/ day range. This is with 6 polls about celebrities, using google adwords content only and paying 5 cents a click, and running email submits. How would folks with more experience scale up to get more profit? More polls? Different traffic source? I am open to all advice by guys further down the road profit wise......thanks.

Hi words

I'm not experienced in polls per se but know about them. I would suggest going with Y and MSN. and, if you've found something good with content then why not "test" with Search and try a landing page with the keywords you've found to be profitable?

Otherwise, try grabbing more keywords by going "broad/wide" and/or trying Site Placement to see if you can narrow down certain sites. If you have profitable campaigns, I'd try scaling and testing to see where you could earn more. Don't forget about trying to grab emails and building a list too (especially for cheap keywords)

Go with more polls because it is hard to find a similar quality of traffic outside of google and maybe yahoo. Be sure to rotate offers to avoid scrubbing and find the ones that convert the best. Also try out search because it has worked well for me with polls in the past.

If you try you can also get some steady SEO traffic to polls if you build a couple of content pages around it. It usaully is slow but it provide a decent steady flow.

Hi Words4life,

nice to hear about your success with polls - I myself have never made profit of it, and I have a few dozen polls behind me.

At the moment I don't have anything to contribute to this thread but I'll be happy if you answer one question: How high do you set your bids when you upload your poll campaigns? Do you start relatively high ($0.20?) and then gradually lower your bid or do you start at $0.05-0.10 from the beginning? My own experience tells me that starting with a low bid, even on non-saturated themes like news & trends, doesn't get the traffic rolling.

Thanks,
Doron.

Yes I use the Steven Lean method, a 'guru' here who taught me all about polls. I have to credit him, this is all his idea. you cannot start a 5 cents! I tried it. No traffic.....So, I start at .20 then lower it 2 cents a time over 2 days to get to 5 cents. When I get to 5 cents I make a profit.

Here's a trick. At .20 it is not profitable, so i learned to use a low daily budget for that poll until I get to .05, then I raise the budget, so I don't lose too much money while it is at a higher bid. Update: I am making on average about $50/day with my 6 polls. But it all depends on finding an offer that converts well, then changing it quickly when they start to scrub, which happens as soon as you start making money. It's a game, and it's very labor intensive constantly changing offers.
