I am doing a little keyword research but Im am running across keywords paying around $20+ estimated cost per click but it only gets around 50 searches a day but the competition would be easy for me to outrank and take the number 1 spot on Google. Do you think this would be a stratetgy to go for it even though it doesnt have much search traffic. I mean even if it didnt but I had the number 1 spot and only 2 or 3 people clicked on the ads, that will still be a good chunk or wouldnt it?

Are you trying to rank with paid ads or regular search. If you can rank in the regular search for a keyword that costs $20 I say go for it, and then maybe write the people placing the ads, and see if they want to buy some space.
