Yeah, I sent in a request to investigate this dude.

If this thread gets deleted, then there is something more to it and should be looked into.

Yes, he has booted all of my posts today. I guess he has a vendetta against me because I made a controversial post the other day that had hundreds of views.

Then he sends me a threatening PM saying if I post another BH email I will be booted from the warrior forum.

What the heck!!!

This is strange...about an hour ago I replied to this saying that you should report that threatening PM to admin or a mod... and it got deleted....just my post.

This guy has more than one ID I'm sure.

We should send over some of the bigger boys here to investigate.

Steve,

I can tell you what's going on, if he's deleted or locked posts. He's a moderator, which means Allen made the policy. If that's the case, it just won't be allowed to go on.

That doesn't surprise me. I reported some WSOs recently that were promoting stuff that's flat out fraud using CPA, and they were deleted. That's not the kind of thing we've ever encouraged here.

Glad to. A couple of people asked me about it.

When Allen decided that spam was no longer something to be discussed here, his policy was that it be explained once, and any posts on the topic after that were to be refused without comment or exception.

I had to fight with those people for 6 months before it stopped. There weren't many other places for them to go back then. Now there are tons of bulker boards, so they have no need to be here. I know there are other places for the BH stuff, so maybe the guy won't have to take as long as I did getting rid of it.

I can understand why Allen wouldn't want BH promoted here, but why send in some rude moderator without an explanation?

This guy even commented on and locked a thread in the main forum telling someone that this wasn't a customer service board and to contact the vendor. Period.

Not to mention he only had 2 posts which made me think it was a hacker or something. Since when does a moderator have 2 posts?

Oh well.

Woody,

Probably to avoid getting someone who's got more of a tendency to talk and debate. There've been a lot more of those threads than usual lately, and they end up devolving into threats and harrassment. One jackass even started posting racist and religiously-based hate threads.

From what I've seen, the arguments tend to be shorter and less nasty if the stuff just happens, with little explanation and no debate. That's almost certainly the idea here.

Paul,

Thanks for clearing that up. I called BS immediately after seeing that thread. I think that BH technique, etc. should be allowed to be discussed here within reason. I am no BHW advocate and do not want to see WF turn into it, but BH has its place among CPA discussion on any forum.

I'm not getting the impression they're leaving that one up for a vote. I know I wouldn't. If you leave a fuzzy line in an area where people tend to push things, they'll keep pushing. And they'll argue the point forever, especially with the term 'black hat,' which is often used to mean a lot of different things.

The problem is defining what's "within reason."

So is there going to be an offical ruling in the WF Rules regarding this? Or is more of a suggestion at this point?

I think that WAS the official ruling.

It apparently is being bumped daily by moderators. This will keep it on the front page. It does seem easier to make it a sticky though.
