Default Has anyone had luck with MSN Content Network?

I have been playing with MSN Content for 2 months now and seen very few niches do better than Google Adwords content, and shoes is one of them which has faired better on msn. However would warriors mind in sharing if they had success for other niches on MSN or its just not worth spending time & effort?

One thing I have noticed on MSN and yahoo is there is not as much competition on these sites over keywords as Google. Sure there are less people that search through these engines. But one thing I have noticed through tracking is the people coming through MSN are more apt to purchase things over Google, as they are generally PC newbies and MSN is their default search engine.

That's a good point and I never thought on those lines. So what CPA offers have done better on MSN compared to google in the past. I don't think anyone will share whats doing well for them now. I'm trying to get ideas on what works and what doesn't.

I once stuck some adverts on MSN, forgot about them and a year later got charged $6. The same keywords on google cost me thousands a year. All down to the massive traffic difference I guess.

i've made a few bucks on there. the thing is i didn't want to raise my bids to get on the 1st page so i paused the campaign. i'm sure it'll work better for my other offers.

But Adcenter (which basically means msn.com for english - united states) is an entirely different ppc "system" than Google. Less traffic on Adcenter usually means less competition, especially in my niche: when I started with 40 cents as my default bid, for some keywords I was actually overpaying since max bid position only costs like 20 cents..

And even IF people search on msn but never buy, the smart marketer then uses Adcenter as a way to grab subscribers for his email list..through which he sells ;-)

Has anyone ever considered the MSN user as a conservative buyer ...

One not apt to change with the weather ... or trends for that matter ...

MSN content = very little traffic. Honestly, I gave up on MSN content some time ago. They seem to have "magic" keywords that get loads of impressions, and then all the others get no impressions/clicks...

haha I definitely agree here.

I have done the same, had a campaign on msn that I forgot about, then later charged like $2-$3... same campaign on google hundreds per day.

ha ha, well not really sure if they are conservative as I have 2 campaigns that do much better on msn than on google, yes thats true. Most of my long tail keywords did not get much traffic vs google, however others have been working very well.
