Tracking (Neverblue, Adwords, Tracking202)

Does self-hosted tracking202 have any advantage over Adwords Conversion tracking?

Out of curiosity i installed self-hosted tracking202 - and i am put off because it wants me to manually add each text-add from adwords. (I for sure wont sit down now and add many, many text ads manually into tracking202...)

I have conversion tracking in Adwords activated so i dont really see a point in installing tracking202..except that i dont like the fact that google conversion tracking has a 24hr delay and is not real-time.

Is there a newbie FAQ for tracking202 and Neverblue?

Just add the adwords pixel to the neverblue offers .. it's nice that you can now add the pixel yourself .. in the past you would have to talk to your AM each time you needed to place the pixel.

As for Adwords tracking it's real time .. not 24h delay ..

George,

As a non techy type, I use the non self hosted version, but I am fairly sure it is the same in that setting up your text ads is optional. Obviously if you don't add them you won't get tracking info on which specific text ads are performing, but you will still get the keyword results.

When you go to get your tracking link, they will give you a warning about not doing text ads in case you just forgot. But you can choose to ignore it and still track keywords.

If you are using their stats program for autoupdating your subids, be forewarned that a the moment there is a time lag between stats202 updating to tracking202.

By the way, as a non techy type, I am a big fan of your Affiliate Site Quik.
