Default Stay Away From ADBRITE!

Please stay away from Adbrite. They are thieves and they will run with your money! I’m currently in a battle to get my $200 back that they took from my credit card although I had no ads running. I joined in April, run a few ads that quickly went over my limit of $100.

When my bank decided to stop my credit card due to a fraudulant activity, Adbride decided to delete my ads immediately since they couldn’t debit my card. They kept sending me reminder emails informing me that they were unable to debit my credit card. I emailed back to tell them what had happened and was waiting for a new credit card. When I got my card back, I entered my new credit card details to pay the amount I owed them ($109). I thought that it was the end of the story. A couple of weeks later, I received an email that I had gone over my daily budget. I emailed them to let them know that I didn’t have any ads running so I couldn’t have gone over my daily budget. They emailed back saying that they had made a mistake and noticed that the ads were paused. I regret not to have replied by saying that my ads had been deleted by them back in April. Beginning of June they debited $200 from my credit card. I couldn’t believe it. I’ve been fighting ever since with them to get my money back. It’s unbelievable that they can get away with this! Doing a search on google, I found that I'm not the only one so I decided to warn fellow warriors to stay away from ADBRITE!

Thanks for letting us know about it and i feel really sorry about your loss and hope they will refund your money but why don't you just delete or close your adbrite account? I don't use adbrite so i have no clear idea about it. Also try to contact them via calling support as email support is sometimes not too good and if you can call them then go for it as they will hopefully solve this matter.
I am not into adbrite but heard something bad about it first time so i will surely do some search about it and get to know about other people as well.
Best of luck for your money
Thanks

I'm sorry for your loss but thank you for letting us know about this. I was bothered when you've stated that you are not the only one who have this problem against ADBRITE. I'll inform my colleagues about this issue.

This isn't the first time I have heard of them playing around with people's credit cards and such. I don't understand why the large places think they can get away with whatever they want.

Thanks, one more item to delete from the list. Maybe someone should also come and suggest a better alternative to Adbrite.

Thank you all for your support. I've tried calling them but in vain. My bank has tried as well to talk to them since I've asked them to recall the payment. My bank is sending me a form so I can claim the payment as unrecognized. We will see what can be done.

Thank you for a very helping warning. I just step out of their site 30 minutes ago, learning anything stated on their service explanation, and just read this new post while I'm thinking to register an account there. I've been scammed before with an online multilevel marketing company, and your warning just prevent me from my second similar mistake.

I had a similar case. They were charging me for clicks when there were no visitors on the site. When I questioned them, they refunded me the money.

Wow! If this is really true someone need to try to arrange a group and try to contact a good lawyer that does this case for free. Why free? This case should give the lawyer a lot of publicity (worldwide) because Adbrite is known worldwide. Such company should be sued by civil AND criminal court!

I used adbrite in the past a few times as an advertiser and the traffic I got was terrible. I spent up 30k a month on adwords so am a serious advertiser.

I'm the ownder of WallStreetWindow.com where I do several big mega launches a year. I also moderate a mastermind group of financial stock trading/forex marketers and affiliate marketers who shares ideas and a launch calendar check it out: http://theprivatealliance.com

Yep that is right, I use to used AdBrite, and the first thing is- they send you very poor untargeted traffic, and then claim that it depends on publishers.., they write down the keywords for which they want to display the ads- banners, usually they write many not related keywords because this is their business, they got paid for displaying ads, never mind what ads.

The next thing as you said, they charged me to much, and till today I can not get my refund.

I have to agree with Michael. Adbrite in my experience is complete garbage. I could never get targeted traffic and had no conversions. I stopped using them a while ago and will never go back.

Everyone claims you should use them because they give you very cheap traffic. Well, they are right; the traffic is so cheap it never converts! Just my experience I guess. I would be interested to hear from someone who has had a good ROI using them.

Even I agree that adbrite traffic totally sucks.

It's totally untargeted. I saw that my ads were being
placed on sites that had nothing to do with the niche
or options I had chosen.

And in fact, some of my impressions were even coming
from torrent and warez sites.

Do I need to say more?

- Dean

To RLRLPHS I'm an advertiser.
Recent update: They've shown me a print screen of my account from their admin website. There are 2 ads with no clicks. However, from my end, I see no ads as they were deleted by their system. They have made it clear that they will not refund my money. I'm still waiting for the chargeback form from my credit card company. Do you guys know a government body where I complain? thanks

Thanks for sharing your experience! I have a new blog which I was planning to promote by ppc and Adbrite was one of the option I was considering as their rates are reasonable but now it seems I need to consider my decision.
