Default What Level Are Your Morals At?

Alright so...as I am sure you guys know...there are several ways, especially in CPA where you can make a lot of money...fast! I know a guy whos been in IM for less then a year making 100 - 150 thousand a month. He is 21.

It happens that he is promoting a rebill offer. Most people dont know they are going to get rebilled, although it is completly legal! It is in T/C but who reads those?

What are your thoughts?

I dont know if I should follow his shows, or promote a little more 'honest' CPA or product.

Later!

Since you aksed, I'll answer. It's olny a question.....

If he's fine with it more power to him, BUT I could not do something like that. Knowing that folks are not aware of what they are getting into long term would not sit well with me.

Ok - My personal opinion is that if someone sold me something that had hidden costs - my thoughts would not be good ones.

If they hide the costs in small print - they're morons and you are also to blame for not reading the small print.

If they lay out the costs but most people don't read - that's different.

What is right, wrong, good or bad depends a lot on whether they've gone out of their way to design things so that people won't realise they're getting rebilled.

If you can't sell something without hiding the costs - you haven't done your job properly.

I think people who hide such costs and rely on people to miss them and get stung are scum.

Good point Andy, I agree, it people have a good chance but are to 'dumb' or lazy it is their fault. I guess it gets kind of gray on what is 'reasonable' or not.

I guess every offer is different, and I think most do give a fair chance, or they get sued. haha I just heard of a CPA company having to pay back 10 million to rebille custoemrs b/c they had no way of canceling.

I beleive his give a few chances, people just forget. It when the phone nubmers do not do anywhere, and emails do not get repsonded to that it gets bad.

I have mixed emotions about this. I hate getting caught in an offer that tries hard to hide that fact that you will be re-billed. They hide the terms in a link somewhere in very small print, they won't let return the product or stop billing without major hassles.

That's sneaky and pushing the limits and will attract the rath of government in time.

There is nothing wrong with someone trying a product with a continuity element.

Your friend didn't invent the offers however, he is just promoting them and making a ton. Usually I try the offers first and if they make me mad or seem sneaky I won't promote them. Not everyone does.

Good point, that is a good way to look at it...if you would feel ripped off...then do not do it, if you wouldn't, then its fine...thats prob the best test I guess...or how would you feel if your grandma or mom or sister, brother, frineds tried he offer?

If its still a green light, then go for it I guess...whats your thoughts on flogs?

I didn't really bother to read anybody elses replies on this matter, but I just wanted to add.

Don't worry about how other people feel, it's about how YOU feel. If you have even the slightest of moral qualms about what you are doing, then don't do it. If it feels right, and you HONESTLY do not care (even if it might be unethical) then you obviously do not have any problems with the method so you should go ahead and pursue it anyway.
