Using Different "Angles"

Hey,

Help me understand this. I've always hear people say "use a different angle." With that being said, how would that work with the offer? Will this work for broad offers? Let's say for instance...

DATING.

The angle we choose -> Gamers. Girls that love videogames.

Let's say the individual goes to the landing page and they see that it's caught their attention that there's a dating site where girls are GAMERS.

So what does the individual do? He / she clicks on the link and realizes it goes to match.com.

Do you see where I'm getting at here? Does that mean not only do I need to find an angle, but the offer has to be similar as well?

    An angle doesn't necessarily have to be a case of finding something that pairs well with the offer itself. It's more about finding a specific way to entice users within a given niche. The example you provided is possible, but might also be targeting too small of a demographic.

    Say your promoting an offer for an antivirus program that converts on a download. You can angle your strategies different ways to see what works best. You could target a younger student-centric demographic by changing your images, headlines, etc. to be more attractive to that audience. It's a way of breaking your strategies down in order to test and analyze what ultimately has the most potential for conversions within that campaign or niche.

      Right - that was just a small example. I mean another example is let's say.. "hispanic dating."

      I can target hispanics that love hispanic women...but another angle I can go for is "white men" or "asian men" that love hispanic women as well.

      But... the offer still goes to the same place which is the general dating site "hispanicdating.com"


      Is this right?

    if your copy and your funnel are good people wont bother to see where they are signing up to. you caught them on the moment with your benefits and images, compelling enough to sign up to match.com even if saw the ad before
