How would you advertise this new consumer electronics product?

Hi Warriors, I am launching a product called Pantelligent: http://kck.st/1xl4se3 and am testing a variety of paid traffic sources to accelerate growth (after the successful Kickstarter pre-order period). While I haven't been given permission to share numbers, we have a reasonable conversion rate and profit margins, the product is widely applicable and has broad market appeal, so the question is how to scalably buy affordable, quality traffic.

I'm looking for $0.01 to $0.10 CPCs for qualified traffic that is likely to watch our video. (We have analytics to measure inbound traffic sources that accounts for what fraction of visitors actually finish the entire 3-minute video; this number has ranged from 3% to 25% across different traffic sources so far. A traffic source that did 25% video finish rate at $0.10 CPC would be roughly equivalent to one that did 3% video finish rate at $0.012 CPC.)

If this was your product, what would you try first?

If we offered an affiliate program in the future (in a few months, when we launch our full e-commerce site), what would make that interesting? What would you do?

Thanks!!! Looking forward to learning lots from this community.

Since you are looking for quality PPC traffic at such a low CPC, you'll either have to:

1.) Use a 2nd tier etc traffic source with lower CPC but questionable quality

2.) Use a major traffic source and spend a significant amount of money optimizing the campaign in hopes of eventually getting those super-low CPCs.

Wouldn't media buys be a better option since you can target relevant websites to find the demographics that respond to your offer?

I'd imagine to go the CPC route you'd have to plan on spending more per click to get any decent traffic and then optimize from there. But it would take a lot of testing to find your "sweet spots."
