CPA - $1.60 for an email address?

I've seen some CPA offers that pay around $1.60 per email address for a free competition sign up

but how can an email address be worth so much?

how do they make more than $1.60 per email address?

    I get paid as much as $12 for an email / zip submit signup.

    It depends on the offer. Specifically:

    - How much can be earned, on average, from a free join; and
    - How difficult it is to get those free joins.

    The offer that pays me $12 is for a french dating site. Whereas, a free join to something like World of Tanks will pay me only $2.50.

    Your advertiser will know - precisely - at what point free joins convert to paying members. That ratio will allow them to make a profit on whatever they pay you.

    The back ends of email submits are typically setup to sell sell sell.. a real and active e-mail subscriber can be worth tons more than $1.60

    Unfortunately there is also a dark side of email submits, which is why i don't recommend people using them in most cases (http://www.warriorforum.com/ad-netwo...l-submits.html)

    It all comes down to monetizing the emails. I know of a company who pays per lead for timeshare emails. They email them, call them, mail them postcards etc for a week, then they sell the leads to another timeshare company.

    The advertisers pays $1.6 only if he is making much more on the backend.
    Email submit offers have a complex funnel that allows advertiser to monetise the leads. The advertiser probably makes around $6-10 per lead and pays you $1.6
