Confused about tracking...Quick question (Any help appreciated!)

Hey gang...

There might be no problem at all, but I am confused about something and could really use your help.

I'm about to launch an Adwords campaign around some CPA offers, and I want to make sure everything is set up properly before I do. I'll do my best to ask my question in a way that makes sense

I've got my offer page landing link

hxxp://myoffer.com/APID=###&affID=###&subID=#####

Fairly typical affiliate link I suppose. My question is regarding the subID at the very end. When I click on the link to actually view the offer page, my subID is not showing in the address bar. It simply reads subID= with no numbers.

I found other affiliates on the same network, visited their offer page, and I see their subID.

Is this a problem?
Should I contact my affiliate manager?
Is it something to do with cookies?
Is it something to do with a "tracking pixel"...which by the way I'll go ahead and ask...Is a tracking pixel something I need?

Anyway, I hope my question makes sense, and would really appreciate your help. I'm ready to click go on my Adwords campaign, but would hate to do so and not get credit you know.

Thanks everyone!
Derek

This is going to sound stupid but make sure it's the exact case that the network has (eg. for one of my networks it had &subid1= .. I put &SubID1= ) it didn't track until I had &subid1=.. hope that makes sense

It makes perfect sense. For me though, my case is exact.

I mean I can copy and past the URL into my browser with the subID included, but when the page loads it's gone. My thoughts are that maybe it's hidden or something? But then again when I visit the page of a different affilaite I see their subId.

      Thanks though!
      Derek

The more I look at it, it only makes sense that the important factor in all this is that my affID #'s are correct. Having a blank subID should not affect anything right?
