Is India good Facebook traffic?

So I am setting up my first ad on facebook and the location defaults to india. Soon as I change that the UK, US, Canada, Australia etc the estimated clicks drops (to be expected).

But my question is, is having india in going to be good or bad for the quality of the traffic. Obviously having india in gives me lower average cost per click but is the quality significantly poorer?

Like Aussie mentioned...you need to target products geared towards the Indian market and only the ones which allow indian traffic but some products allow traffic from almost all the countries so you have an advantage targeting users from India...best bet is to go through some FB ads courses and get your concepts cleared.

OMG... just no India... it does depend on product, but you will hardly make a product that`s interesting to that location and affordable. Avoid them just as China...

  • What product are you promoting?
If you are targeting based on interest, you will get traffic but you won't get sales/conversions.
Many pages start with cheap traffic and later get quality likes.

Asian traffic is cheap but almost useless for sales.. bear in mind that if you add asian countries along with rich countries just "trick" and drop the price of fb cpc isn't a good thing to do, why? Because most clicks you'll get will be from those asian cheap CPC countries.

You will never make a sale if you are newbie. And you can hardly make 2-3 sales at max in a day if you are targeting pretty well.

Yep - don't bother. If you are promoting a CPA or sales based product your conversion rate will just tank.

Stick to USA, UK, AUSTRALIA and CANADA as your main target countries when buying PPC traffic.

Conversion rate is not the problem, you may get just same CR though you may not even cover expenses because rate for these countries is very low and you will get a lot of traffic and some would be just no use, so its better to stick with premium countries for CPA.
