Promoting CPA offers through Bing Ads PPC, TOTALLY NEWB! Suggestions/Help .

Hi ,how are you ?

First of all I want to mention that I have never done any CPA marketing in my life before but I have been looking around for a while and I know mostly basics ( although I have a website and my SEO knowledge is not bad ) and I was wondering if promoting the offers using Bing Ads PPC is a good start as a newbie and from what I understand , directly linking the offers in Google Adwords gets your account banned/removed so I thought maybe Bing is a good start. Please correct me if I am wrong .

I have a few questions though :

1: How much budget do I need to start ?

2: I have been approved to Maxbounty ,do you recommend any other newbie friendly networks ?

3: How many offers should I be running and for how long as a starter ?

4: Should I be running U.S only offers or international offers work as well ?

5: How long should I keep running the campaigns till I know whether its working or not ?

6: Do you recommend Facebook Ads for a newbie ?

7: Any other type of traffic type that I should be looking into?

8: If I were to try Google Adwords , what type of website/blog do I need to have for landing pages that Google would like ?

9: Are there any good free e-books for newbies that I could look into?

Any Advice/suggestion is much appreciated !

Pardon my English , Its not my mother's tongue

Thank you very much !

Your first mistake is running CPA ads in PPC like bing and words and on top you have no experience, you will only end up making big loss, you should start with lower scale and network where you can buy much cheaper traffic, though again you must need to have good knowledge that how you can really make benefit with cheap traffic.

1: How much budget do I need to start ? Approx $100 is a good starting budget to test several offers. If you've never used Bing ads before, you can get a free $100 coupon so your first campaigns won't cost you anything.

2: I have been approved to Maxbounty ,do you recommend any other newbie friendly networks ? Peerfly is another good newbie friendly network.

3: How many offers should I be running and for how long as a starter ? It depends on your budget. About 4-5 offers is a good starting point, so you can then focus on optimizing those offers once you get data.

4: Should I be running U.S only offers or international offers work as well ? Both are okay.

5: How long should I keep running the campaigns till I know whether its working or not ? Generally, you should keep running the campaign until you've spent the cost of the offer payout. So if the offer has a payout of $30 then you'll run it until you've spent $30 on ad costs. Some people prefer to run it for 1.5x the offer payout, so they'd spend $45 on ads cost in this case.

6: Do you recommend Facebook Ads for a newbie ? If you have a good budget then yes. Facebook ads is an easy to use platform, but the clicks are expensive so you need to ensure you know your audience well and your targeting is good before starting out.

7: Any other type of traffic type that I should be looking into? Highly experienced CPA marketers recommend to focus on one traffic source at first until you master it. So as you're focusing on Bing, id wait before looking at other ad platforms.

1: How much budget do I need to start ?
You either need a few thousand or you need some form of income coming in regularly ie. a job. You need a clear head to do CPA successfully and if you only have a couple of hundred dollars to play with total, you'll be too worried about losing money to act effectively.

2: I have been approved to Maxbounty ,do you recommend any other newbie friendly networks ?
MaxBounty is fine, they have a lot of verticals and you can select other networks to work with once you have found your preferred vertical at MB. To start with, you want to work with only one network to ensure cashflow, as they all have payment thresholds.

3: How many offers should I be running and for how long as a starter ?
I'd suggest selecting one vertical and create several different angles around the offers you have available in that vertical. HOW you sell an offer (ie. traffic source, ad/lp angle, etc.) is more important than the offer in most cases.

4: Should I be running U.S only offers or international offers work as well ?
US converts easier and pays better in most major niches and the market has mostly been modeled, meaning it is easier to start in the US as there is so much info available on what works. International can be good, but does take more testing and that means more money losing.

5: How long should I keep running the campaigns till I know whether its working or not ?
There's no real answer to that. Spending 1-2x the offer payout is usually suggested , but I've never heard of a professional CPA marketer actually doing that. You'll need to figure out your own risk-tolerance and ensure that any campaign you run has a wide scope at first that can be narrowed down as you get data back.

6: Do you recommend Facebook Ads for a newbie ?
      Not with MaxBounty offers.

7: Any other type of traffic type that I should be looking into?
Bing is probably good as there is not a huge amount of traffic (the traffic they do have tends to be 40+ American - good quality) so you'll have to go very broad with your keywords. The reason that's good is that broad keywords teach you how to convert colder traffic.

Search PPC can be very effective, but if you target narrow keywords you'll only get ready-to-convert visitors and won't learn as much about conversion. As you go on, you'll see that converting cold traffic is the best way in CPA as it lets you find cheaper traffic sources.

8: If I were to try Google Adwords , what type of website/blog do I need to have for landing pages that Google would like ?
Asking that question mean you want to 'game' Google's ad system, as in tricking them into accepting you rather than just developing a site that gives a good user-experience so is guaranteed acceptance. Get some experience in marketing before you consider trying to outsmart Google with fake sites.

9: Are there any good free e-books for newbies that I could look into?
Nope. It's not rocket science, just browse the web on a VPN and check out other people's ads to get an idea of what's going on. Everybody is a liar in this industry, only way to learn is by doing and spying.

The main key to developing the correct marketing strategy is to think like a buyer. You're a buyer so you know that buyers are so complicated! When you're the seller, you're dealing with thousands of complex people just like you who expect you to satisfy their needs. So you better make some effort to understand them...

Thank you for the reply , I appreciate it

What type of offers do you recommend me running ? are dating/diet/fitness a good start ?

Also I am having a hard time choosing the right amount for bid , do I always go with minimum ? lets say I have $5 to spend per day for a campaign , is $0.10 a good bid for each keyword?

What % should be my CTR ? does that matter at all since I am paying per click ? like it means that the keywords that I have chosen are not doing so well and I should consider changing them ?

Also how many keywords ? as much as I can or focus on a few but good ones ?
