Adsense and Google Traffic

Quick question....

I got an email from Adsense today about something on my site. I quickly fixed it (I think) and marked it as resolved...
(it really grinds my gears getting a warning from Adsense on my little page, about something I see on MANY, MANY Huge well established sites)

So what I am wondering here is, let's say for some reason I get banned from Adsense. Is that going to have an effect on my Google Search Traffic?

I'm sure Google would say no. But I kinda think it might.

So since I got a warning, would it be safer to just stop using Adsense to maintain the Search traffic? - the search traffic is more valuable to me than Adsense- Or just keep on going?

Thanks

Plenty of people have been banned from AdSense and are doing just fine with search traffic.

Huge, well established websites get to play by different rules when it comes to AdSense.

    It's called Arbitrage.

You're right a lot of the bigger sites do this, but Google doesn't seem to have a problem with them. I, too, was once warned by Google to stop doing this.

I don't think I ever stopped. I just changed a few things around on the site to make it look more beefed up with unique content.

Are you talking about adsense or adwords? Not sure what you mean by "would it be safer to just stop using Adsense to maintain the Search traffic?"

It won't have any effect on your search traffic. Adsense is just a monetization platform. Has nothing to do with SEO and rankings.

I don't think the termination of Adsense account would result in a rankings drop, because both of these teams are supposedly completely separated within Google.

One example of confusion resulting from this separation was when the Adsense team kept convincing webmasters to place ads above the fold - while the Web spam team (the guys who can drop your rankings if you misbehave) kept warning webmasters against placing ads above the fold in a way that would push the content below the fold (which is a mistake that could easily be make during adsense earnings optimization - especially on mobile resolutions).

So personally, I don't think a breach of Adsense policy can affect your rankings (as long as you don't violate the webmaster guidelines too).

But you should also know I don't work at Google.
