Please read forums, there are no specific guides, just read forums and later implement that knowledge into your campaings, that's what everyone did.

I can give you some tips right here if you want to kickstart your CPA career

First of all, what I would do is stick to lead based CPA products as they are a heck of a lot easier to convert compared to sales based stuff. I generally focus on the finance market, as there everything is always per enquiry, online quote or application request. Think insurance, debt management companies and loan enquiries.

For traffic I tend to stick to 1st tier platforms only, so Adwords, BING and a bit of Facebook is my bread and butter. I also don't tend to use shortcuts and do everything by the books, so I don't lock horns with Google, market regulators or lawyers of a competitor. Just less hassle that way.

So yeah there you have it in a nutshell - at least it's what I do. I also prefer to host my own offers so I can advertise on PPC with Google etc, so no direct linking as the offer is essentially hosted directly on my site via "host and post".

Also don't forget that the best guide in itself is your very own "learning by doing" experience curve. Don't underestimate it, as just jumping into the cold water and figuring stuff out is really invaluable.

So to sum up, stick to easy-to-convert products for now, learn first tier PPC as your main traffic sources and make sure you get some proper experience under your own belt. I'm sure you will get the hang of it very quickly if you stick to that route.

    Hope that helps

Your best bet is go through CPA forums like this one and gain knowledge that way. Besides that there are courses and training programs that you can sign up for if you're willing to pay for it. I suppose you could see it as an investment.

I use to recommend Kenter's Rags 2 Riches as great guide to CPA for affiliates at any experience level but it seems as though there's a waiting list now. Not sure if you'd be able to get one or not but here's the link regardless.

Other then that just keep digging through any resource you can find until you've established a solid foundation of knowledge. Then you'll have to decide on how you want to promote offers if you plan on signing up with a CPA network.

    Good luck!

Do you have an idea on what you're interested in doing? Or an idea of what types of traffic sources you are interested in?
