At least over 1000 page views a week, less than €3.00 earnings a month. Is it normal ?

I have started a website since 2012, I've always had a google ads account, and last full payment I had for the last 3 years was €70.00 (70 euros for 3 years of active ads!!). I've seen people getting a lot more than that for much more less page views. Also I still remember one click costed at least €0.60 when I first started my google ads, and it decreased to €0.05 and less.
So is this normal ? shouldn't I get more earnings for my current traffic ? if yes how can I fix this ?
This is my website : WhiteDots » Motion graphics, VFX templates and tutorials

    Hi There,

Your RPM is definitely low but the main issue with your ads is their location (I'll not even mention your SEO). Your main content which is the templates, tutorials and portfolio isn't monetized. I will recommend as a first action to remove the ad in the main page and include the ad in the pages I mentioned above. Make your placement dynamics so if 300x600 isn't avail for the best bidder a 300x250 ad will appear instead.

For that size of video in-content I will recommend to use external player and use DFP or any other video network to monetize your video-content, it will surely increase your income.

I'm really surprised you are getting over 1000 weekly page views with this Alexa rank to be honest.

    Good luck with your site.

The text is really small on a high resolution screen and lazy people like me won't want to read it. If you look at most sites and blogs today, they have nice big bold fonts that are easy to read. So when people land on your site, it's a bit of a shock. So I'm guessing your bounce rate is quite high and time on site quite low?

    Good luck.

Your ads are hard to find on your site -- never a good sign.

Your ad placements are really unoptimized, I can't imagine your CTR is even above 1% with that layout.

Also, 1000 page views a week is really tiny. That's 4000 page views a month.. and maybe 2/3 that or less in unique sessions? You can improve your numbers by optimizing your ad placements, but you have to scale up traffic if you really want to see bigger earnings.
