Is adsense worth my time?

Hi there guys,

I'm looking at my adsense dashboard, and here are the stats

For sites making 10,000 visits a month (on pets) I'm doing $25/monthly

For a site with 90,000 visits a month I'm doing $125 monthly.

These are ridiculous earnings per views.

Is this reasnoable? and If so, why should I waist my time on adsense?

Best Regards.
Erik

Try playing with placements and see if you can generate a higher CTR by moving your ads around.

Perhaps you can find a better spot for your ad to catch the attention of more visitors.

Here are some possible reasons why your earnings suck.

    1. It's possible your traffic is junk and not targeted.
    2. Your cost per click is way too low
    3. Poor conversion rate

The first thing that you need to consider before signing up for Adsense is that if you have enough visitors that are activ and might be able to purchase something from the ads placed? If not, you will probably do not get any profit from that.

However, if you feel that your popularity is growing and the traffic itself is constantly increasing then you should consider it as many websites keeps themselves from only generating profit from Google Adsense.

It all depends upon how u place ads and which type of traffic your site is attracting. but there are better options to make money such as affiliate marketing.

    Hi Erikme,

There are many factors that result in your reduced earnings.

Try A/B testing within your AdSense account.

Also take a look at my post in regards to correct AdSense placement and ad size.

Your ad placement is probably bad, or maybe your niche is not very good for Adsense.

Either way, Adsense should never be your only monetization method. Selling your own products, or selling affiliate products, can add much more money to the table.

That's pretty low. Focus more testing your set up.

Play around with layouts and colors. A little focus on optimization can drastically increase your CTR, which increases your RPM and increases your earnings with the same amount of traffic.
