Would this make you change the way you use Adwords?

MSN/Live/Bing has always had a better conversion rate for me. I spend as much as I can there, the limiter is their volume rather than my budget.

I think Google does the job better than Bing. Talk about goodwill.

From what I have read, Bing users are an older and less computer savvy demographic.

I always thought that it was probably because MSN/Bing was the default search engine when people first buy their Microsoft operating system based computers.

People have to make a choice to change their default search engine settings to Google and Yahoo. Much of the MSN/Bing crowd are those who probably have no clue about how/why to make the change because they are not computer savvy.

Regardless of the reasons, an older demographic is probably less likely to be using the internet as a form of recreation just surfing around. It is possible that they are more likely to be surfing with a specific purpose, thus more likely to click on ads. They are also more likely to have credit cards and expendable income.

With the recent Yahoo/Bing deal, the demographics and any statistics about the differences in search behavior will be out the window.
