Adsense: Normal to see drop in clicks and earnings?

I've been monetizing my Blogger blog since February.

Over the past few days, I've noticed a drop in clicks and earnings. The number of views has remained stable (100-200 visits per day), so I'm wondering what could be causing this.

Up until this week, I had been getting 1-2 clicks per day. Despite garnering a click the other night, I hardly earned anything.

Is it nothing out of the ordinary to see clicks and earnings take a bit of a tumble for a few days?

Do you suspect this might be a glitch or something having to do with ads/advertisers? I checked to see if anything looked amiss as far as the ads themselves but they're active and seem fine.

Thanks in advance.

IM and traffic to your blog is not an "exact science".
If you keep update your bog, and your niche is independent of the seasons
is normal to have a drop in for a certain period.

Yes that is normal, as adsense earnings depends on adwords advertisers. So fluctuations is normal.

But if you see consistent low EPC, then its time to verify certain things like your keywords, advertisers etc.

In theory you can control the amount of people who come to your site. If you collect emails on your blog, or names and emails via an autoresponder.... collect a boatload of opt-ins, and consistently lead THEM back to your blog. This is an easier and more reliable stream of traffic than just random visits from people. Then you can *control* how much clicks/sales/commissions you get... and you can kind of control the amount of traffic that should be coming to your blog everyday.

Being that you're only getting 100-200 impressions a day, it's really hard to come to that sort of conclusion without getting a couple of months worth of data to compare.

If I were getting couple of hundred impressions per day, I would start building my list first before monetizing it with adsense..

You mean every day MUST add 4 to 5 news content?

Yes, it is absolutely normal to see drops in clicks and earnings.

AdSense after all is based on page views.

Page views are dependent on click throughs.

Click throughs are dependent on overall traffic flows.

Traffic flows are in turn dependent on Google’s mood swings.

Instead of worrying about variations in clicks and earnings, focus instead on the quality of your traffic.

Always remember that the highest quality traffic comes from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Canada.

Focus on those countries, focus on the right niches and also increase your page views.

If there is any one revelation that has really taken my AdSense income to the next level is this: Instead of dumping all your traffic into one page and allowing your AdSense income to live or die based on whether people that consume your one-page content will click on an ad, try something else.

Try breaking up that page into many different pages.

    Try rotating ads.

Whatever it is, you need to be proactive in maximizing your AdSense income.

Otherwise, you are simply going to be at the mercy of random traffic flows on the internet.

    That is really too bad.

1 good quality post of around 300-600
words a day is good enough.

But always remember the number of posts
    is dependent on the niche.

News sites should get updated daily but "how to"
sites do not need consistent daily posts.

Just follow a natural pattern post and post great
    and high quality content.

Thanks for the replies thus far. I'm a bit frustrated because up until last Tuesday or so I was getting 1 or 2 clicks every day. Since then, I've only gotten about 2 or 3 clicks in total. I'm not sure if Google changed something as far as its advertisers or what have you but now I'm only earning 2 or 3 cents a day, presumably from views/impressions. I have been fiddling with colors, template, etc to see if it prompts clicks and earnings to go up, but that hasn't happened.

My traffic has remained stable -- if anything, it has gone up a little, which makes this all the more confusing.
