Block spiders/crawlers from non-English speaking countries?
I'm trying to see if I can make some money selling products from Amazon and Ebay with my English-only technology focused blog. But I'm getting loads of traffic, every day, hitting the same pages and files from web spiders/crawlers in China, Korea, Japan, Russia, which are most likely used by non-English speaking people, who possibly don't buy products from Amazon and Ebay?
I may also add adsense to my site as well, so please include that in your advice
So I'd like to know 1. In countries like China, Japan, Korea, Russia, is it popular for people to buy products from Amazon and Ebay? 2. Do you think blocking Yandex, Goo, Naver, Baidu, SoGou, Youdao would have any significant impact on my number of conversions?
I've seen many postings online where people said that a MASSIVE fraction of their traffic is created by these crawlers, and that of that a large fraction of the traffic from these countries is hacking attempts, and then a really, really, really tiny fraction of traffic from those countries is actual sales.
