PPV - How fast should a landing page load? **HELP**

Hello guys,

I'm planning to start my first PPV campaign and now I'm setting up a few landing pages using optimizePress. I did some speed tests using pingdom and the loading speed is somewhere between 1.5 - 3 seconds for a 1.5mb page size in US. I don't use CDN yet and I have installed Quick Cache plugin. I'm using optimizePress because it's easier to set up everything but I am concerned regarding the loading speed.

Can you please tell me what loading speed should have a landing page when doing PPV? A two seconds loading time would be to much? Would I loose potential users with this loading speed?

Thanks

I've never actually checked mine, but i'd say you'd want them to load ASAP.. what host are you using?

    A couple things:

    1. If your running PPV traffic you do understand that some browsers support pop-under pages, while other dont.

Example: when a pop-under is triggered, in firefox the pop up actually goes under the active windows.

    2. Most other browsers open pop-unders or any type of pop-up windows in a new tab.

    3. If your seriously worried about speed start with cloudflare. But if your not doing volume, i.e. at least a 10K or more in traffic daily, speed is not your biggest issue.

    3. My biggest point, your page load speed is not the biggest variable you need to worry about.

If your promoting email submits or zip submits, dont run them now, please.. Instead go for better niches and use advertorial style landers to promote them.

I use OptimizePress as well but I would highly suggest you not use it for Pops.
