Confused by different CPA marketing strategies

Hi everyone...I've been reading a lot about CPA marketing but I'm a little confused on how to implement it. Currently I have an image blog which generates over 6,000 page views per month. I just started this blog a couple months ago but the traffic is rapidly increasing so I'm trying to figure out a good way to monetize. I am using Adsense but I'm lucky to get a couple clicks per day - I don't think that the ads that are showing are relevant to my audience.

According to my demographics and interests in Google Analytics, my target audience is female, 24-32 years old with interests in cooking, home decor and movies.

Would CPA be a good way to go? Is it just code that I copy and paste into my blog (like Google Adsense)?

On a different note, can I do CPA marketing without a blog and/or content?

One more question - I read about some people using Google Adwords to drive traffic to CPA offers - is this not against Google regulations similar to sending paid traffic to affiliate offers?

For your scenario you could just copy and paste the code that will host the cpa offer banners to your site.. keep in mind you should rotate through different offers to see what converts best..

If I were you I'd apply to some cpa networks and once you get accepted, show your AM your site and ask them for their feedback on the offers/ads to use

Hi Chantal, if you already have a blog and an audience, you could definitely run some CPA offers in the form of banners. There are several offers depending on your niche, and most of the advertisers offer creatives that you could easily place in your site.

The best thing about CPA is that you get paid by "actions", meaning you don't need to do any selling, obviously you need to run some paid traffic at certain point in order to scale your biz but for starters, having an audience beforehand is great.

Let me know if I can help, I'm actually an affiliate manager at a CPA network and glad to discuss if you are interested.

    Cheers!

  • Other than having a blog, how else can I promote CPA offers? I keep reading about issues using FB ads and Google Adwords...

I guess I would like to know what the chain of events works....I am a Wordpress designer so putting a website together is not a problem.

Do most people find an offer they like and build a site around that offer? Or do you add the offer to a site? What about content? How much content should the site have?

I guess I'm not really clear on how this all works...

Well if you respect the TOS from Google or Facebook, I don't see any issue promoting via those channels. Problem is marketers get aggressive in their advertising and that's when the big G or F start suspending accounts.

There's white hat advertising and blackhat. Most people rip off landers and upload them to their own servers, just changing tracking links and pics. Basically you could build a lander via wordpress to capture the customer's info, or you could build some type of "news" blog and blend in the CPA offers (native advertising)

My personal one is native advertising, since you provide real content plus gets accepted easily when running paid traffic.

Essentially you could search through a library of campaigns at a CPA network like MaxBounty, selecting ones that fit your desired niche and promoting them on your website through the use of display or text advertisements.

For instance, just taking a couple of the niches you mentioned (cooking and movies) and looking in our offer base, Cinematrix - Free Trial (Offer ID# 8077) and Everyday with Rachel Ray (Offer ID# 6076) could be two potential options. Cinematrix allows users to watch HD movies and pays out $11.20 for every user who signs up to the service. And the Rachel Ray campaign is a magazine subscription to her magazine which revolves heavily around cooking tips, recipes, advice, etc. It pays out $4.00 for every user who signs up for a subcription.

Hopefully this gives you an idea of the benefits of being an affiliate with a CPA network. If you have any other questions just send me a PM!
