Landing page for CPA offers

Hi everyone....for those of you who use a landing page before sending your visitors to CPA offers, do you register a separate domain for each offer that you promote?

Also, how elaborate does the landing page have to be? Can anyone show me an example?

Last question...if I was promoting an offer for a Walgreen Gift Card and I wanted to include an image on my landing page, where could I find an image of the gift card (legit) or should the landing page only have text?

No, I wouldn't register a separate domain for each offer, for 2 reasons. If the offer you are promoting is no longer available in the future then the domain wouldn't be suitable. Also, it means the domain costs would be expensive.

How elaborate the landing page has to be depends on the offer. For example, if you are promoting a $47 ebook from Clickbank, it has to be more elaborate then if your promoting a Walmart gift card email submit offer.

A good landing page is more to do with quality than quantity. So if you use good images combined with relevant text then it can convert well.

CPA networks usually provide creatives for an offer, so you can add a banner image on your landing page which shows an image that is related to the offer.

I was wondering this as well. If you don't register a new domain, what do you do? Buy a broad domain name and then use subdomains for your offers? And if so, do you put content on your main domain in this example?

        Using subdomains isn't necessary.

You could put each offer on a separate page, such as-

        domain.com/landing-page-offer1
        domain.com/landing-page-offer2
        domain.com/landing-page-offer3

        etc...

          Awesome! Thanks!

But what is on the homepage (ie..domain.com) - an offer? content? both?

          Thanks

What to put on the homepage depends on what the purpose is for the site you are creating.

As this is about CPA offers, if your driving traffic via PPC to a specific page with the purpose of people either opting into a list or clicking through to the CPA offer then you don't need a homepage.

Thanks for the useful tips I was reading the thread and found it very informational.

Lets say we want to promote an offer on PPC network that relates to "insomnia". So before reading this thread I would have started buying a domain name with the keyword insomnia in it.

Now I am confused should I buy a domain name with keyword something like health or fitness in it and make sub pages for the "insomnia" offer.

Is that the right way to go

Either option is okay because I don't think the domain name has much effect on conversion rates unless the domain is something irrelevant.

If you want a build a site around "insomnia" with multiple offers then buying a domain with the keyword insomnia is a good option. But if you want to promote other health related offers then a general domain is a good choice.

              Awesome!! Thanks for the info!

I'll leave it blank for now and just make individual pages

You need to have niche specific domain to promote offer for better conversions. Think about this which URL seems more legit, chantalvanderlaan.com/weightloss or amazingweightloss.com. The whole marketing game is embedded in consumer psychology so think proper. To test this you can promote a clickbank weight loss offer using the above two domains and see which one will give you better conversions. Provided that all the elements and parameters in landing page are same, you will know the 2nd one will give u better conversion.
