question about cpa

I'm new to CPA and i'm going to dive in and try to do pay per lead.. to me it seems like it might be the easiest. But im looking for advice on how i should promote pay per lead offers..i already made up my mind about how i'm going to go about traffic.. i'm going to use paid traffic. Now the big question is should i try some direct linking or build a list? i've never promoted cpa before.. only amazon products and some clickbank products.. so i'm a little stuck on this.

    I recommend you read this post by Tom Addam's. He explains in detail how to promote PPL offers using free traffic, so you could try those traffic sources in addition to paid traffic.

    Building a list usually provides the best ROI. If you are using paid traffic then I recommend building a list.

    A good idea could be to split test. Use direct linking with the free traffic sources then build a list with paid traffic and see what is the best option from an ROI and time investment POV.

    Do yourself a favour and do it right, start building lists from day one!

    You can't direct linking with your affiliate links on adwords or facebook. You can direct link using media buy.

    Usually people build a website and presell the offer and put their affiliate link on the landing page. Or build a squeeze page and build a list.
