Teespring - Use PPE or WC for Facebook Ads Campaign

Hey guys,
I have some test PPE and WC on Facebook Ads but I got zero sales at this time. I'm very confused about promote Teespring on Facebook Ads.

- I have more click, like & share on PPE but I have little clicks on my link Teespring.
- Price very expensive with WC but I have more clicks than PPE.

I want to focus only PPE or WC, I hope someone can help me choose PPE or WC

Hello I run Tshirt businesses and this is what I do. I target Passionate niche audience run PPE for 6 days for $2 per day then I do WC view Content and run at $5 for 3 days. then I run Add to Cart for several days and make some sales. Then I run purchase conversion and scale by duplicating converting ad sets and split testing age groups.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank You

Do you have the best conversion on PPE or WC ? How many clicks on link with your PPE campaign?

Hi Samfakroon, thanks a lot for your insight on this matter, I've been doing it for couple a weeks with little to no success, I followed a few courses about Teespring and FB ads, but still the same

I have some questions if you don't mind:

      1. When you run you first PPE ads, how many adset you create? how you target your audience? did you go with 1 broad interest? or just stack some bulk of more targeted interest until it reach some numbers? do you have any particular audience size to begin with?

      2. And after pass your 6 days of PPE ads, and you create your WC view content, how you setup your targeting? is there any specific data you use from your PPE ads? maybe the demographic like age, or some specific region (state), ad placement, device, etc?

      3. Any specific reason that make you go with these steps: view content > add to cart > purchase conversion?

Wow that's a lot, sorry for my bad English, I hope you can understand my question

      Thanks

I'd love to hear more about this too. If you could add some more explanation about your process Samfakroon, it would be much appreciated!

If I'm not mistaken, you met to say you Retarget your Post Engagements (Results) with View Content (Conversion Optimization) and furthermore Add-To-Cart (Conversion Optimization).

      Is this correct?

This is a very interesting question, and one I've struggled with when I've promoted really any affiliate products on Facebook.

I think if it's an inherently potentially viral product, such as a T-Shirt, a PPE campaign can work really well, you'll also have some more freedom with what you put in the ad with a PPE campaign.

WC campaigns tend to be more pricey, but you also aren't optimizing for clicks on a PPE campaign.

I'm not really sure which one will convert better, but I'm leaning towards PPE campaigns, I've seen and read of people doing both.

    Hope you find success!

We tried both lately and while we got some t-shirt sales the ROI was barely positive. Some ads were doing better but they get fatigued after awhile.

What we found that works is launching a contest with a t-shirt as a prize(or 3 in our case). The problem is you need a post that is viral. Facebook does not really like posts with external links. So you start with a normal post, or many and try to get some of them to go viral by boosting them. That means they will get a lot of organic reach for free beside the paid reach. After it has a very good reach you edit the post and add your contest details. Or instead you can just post a link to your t-shirt sales page. Facebook cannot stop the post at this point. The post has to be closely related to the t-shirt design.

Now if you advertised a contest you will also build an email list. You will select the winners gradually and announce the winners 1 by 1 in an email forcing them to open your emails. You can also add something like "Didn't win yet? You can still grab this limited edition t-shirt here SALES PAGE LINK"

I'm doing a combination of both. Make sure that you optimize your ads after you spent a few dollars.

Here is the problem. Everybody's ads account acts differently. Different niches behave differently as well. There is no way to know what works best unless you test it. I fell into this trap, buying course after course and trying to figure out what was best. What I found out is you must test everything for yourself or you will never know. There are so many methods and it becomes even more complex when you find a winner and have to scale. But just to answer you question as best as possible here is what I recommend. You have also received some really good advice above as well.

Remember you need to test or you will not know.

So on a new campaign I do the following:

    1. PPE campaign with no link at $2/day for 3-5 days. As them if they would buy it at a discount and tell them to comment "YES" if they would. If you get a lot of comments you send them private messages with a discount link or code. Then you edit the post and add the link and raise the budget to $7/day and see what happens.

    2. Run a Website Conversion ad to the same post at $7/day

    3. Run the following adsets for each campaign

    - Precise interests maybe like 300K - 500K
    - Broad interests over 1 Million
    - Flex targeting at 2-3 layers

This way you can find out what type of audience is going to respond because you won't know if you don't test it.

Also make sure you are building a custom audience so that you can retarget.

I would even test a video views ad too. Video ads are really cheap right now and you can build a custom audience off the views then run ads to that.

Remember once you have sales you can build Look Alike Audiences.

I hope that helps. You are going to spend more up front but you will get your data back faster and be able to find your winners and profit.

I need to master that skill by tomorrow...
Seriously though I am going to do a giveaway with a $700 value prize and I'm going to run a PPE ad to bring prospects to my post that'll have an integrated form. It's a little overwhelming.
If I don't target the right people it's going to cost me money for nothing.
Should I run several ads targeting different age groups etc to see which performs better?
