how to monetize patchy website?

Hi,
we run a website which has around 10-20K/day acquired mostly through social network sites.
We monetize it via AdSense, but we'd like to try something else.
Do you mean some sort of affiliate could work?
Do you maybe have some tips?

    First find out who visits your site, how old are they, are they male/female. What do they do in real life, are they married, fo they have kids, without those data, you would be shooting in dark and praying any offer would work.

    10K-20K visitors daily is pretty good, you can try CPA networks. PeerFly is a good network to try and join. Also promoting offers and products to your email list.

    Affiliate marketing should work with this kind of traffic, but you need to target your audience. Gather all the data mentioned above and then look for products that fit.

    Hi, thanks to all for answers. Actually, we thing about affiliate marketing, just we are totally new. I just now, it is not so easy as PPC, but we'd like to start somehow. Do you mean it is good idea just to register to CJ and try some products? In form of banners?

    I looked into G-Analytics and it is in last 28 days:
    465K visitors
    age 18-24=27%, 25-34=33%, 35-44=16%, 45-54=13%, older=rest to 100%
    male/female 55-45%
    interest category: 5,5% - individual sports, 4% Computer/electronic, 3% sports, 3% food and drinks, 2,5% travel, rest is unknown
    Location: US - 80%, Canada+UK 10%, rest - rest of the world

    Can you recommend us some easy but better than AdSense solution? At least to try?

      Try some sports offer targeted to male 18-33. I would say put a poll on the website and ask people first, if they watch NHL, soccer,tennis etc. Based on that put up an affiliate offer. But you've got to find out what sports people mainly watch for those who come on your site. If they vote ask them if they are male/female.


      That should give you an idea what offer to put.

    I would highly recommend you to get into Affiliate Marketing and look for Affiliate Products relevant to what your site is about (niche).

    You can find affiliate products at Clickbank, JVzoo, and even the WSO marketplace (if you are in the internet marketing niche).

    You could also see if you can come up with a simple product to sell. You can easily create a simple ebook and sell it for a few dollars.

    You can get really creative with the way you can monetize a site. You already got a big traffic flow number.

    Another thing you could take a look into would be CPA Offers. Check out Maxbounty for that. You can earn by simply having people fill-out information.

    Just brainstorm for a bit and let your creativity run!

    Of course, you need to research on the many ways to earn online before you brainstorm.

    You should also try Intext advertising network like Infolinks
    There are some other players in Intext Link advertising platform. You could google for that.

    Hi!
    Go for affiliate marketing, find affiliate programs related to your website´s niche and audience. A very effective way to monetize a website is by writing product reviews related to your niche, including your affiliate links.
    If you are not doing it already, add an email opt-in form to your site. You can monetize this with affiliate mkt in the future too.
