You'll need enough investment if you're really eager to start a career in internet marketing. We're talking about money + time + idea + patience - when I say investment.

First step is to get a decent job and save. While saving, take time to research and study to acquire new ideas.

I'll offer a couple of suggestions that will not cost any money to get started. The first is to post YouTube videos to make affiliate commissions. You can make simple videos with free software - just a screen capture if you don't want to talk on screen. I can point you towards some more (free) information if you like.

Another option is to use sites like Fiverr. Make sure to check out how to use each site, and what the payment details are. For instance, a $5 "gig" on Fiverr actually only pays you $4, because they keep $1 as a fee. Also, it takes 2 weeks before you have access to your income. On the other hand, don't think you're restricted to just making small amounts on these sites - you can offer upsells as well. These could make potentially $50 or more per sale.

I've been using Source Market recently - Sell or buy seo services | SourceMarket - you get paid instantly via Paypal, and the pricing is more flexible.

If you have a look around a few of these sites, you'll get to see the variety of jobs that people are getting paid for - I'm sure there's something that you can offer in these marketplaces.

Even if you think you have nothing to sell, then consider the idea of arbitrage - but that's a topic for another time!

The first thing you should do if you want to start affiliate marketing the right way is buy the product for yourself. If you have been drawn to affiliate marketing by reading that it is possible to make money without spending any cash of your own, it will seem like a backward step to suggest that you start by spending money, but there is a good reason why you should seriously consider taking this advice.

What do you know about the product you will be promoting? If you haven't tried the product, all you will know is what other people have told you and the "other people" are probably the owner of the product and his/her marketing team. Don't you think they might be just a little bit biased? The truth is that even if the product was a complete turkey, they'd still be telling you it's an eagle. The only way you will really know what a product does, is to buy it and test it out yourself.

It is only when you have purchased and used the product that you will be in a position to promote it effectively because you will then know exactly what it can do as opposed to what the owner would like you to believe it can do. You will find there can be a huge difference between the sales pitch dreamed up by copywriters and the actual performance of a product. Being an actual user of the product means you will be in a position to write genuine reviews on the product instead of regurgitating the advertising blurb.

The following is what happened to me a few months age when I found a new product (an e-book) that looked as if it would be very helpful to many of my website visitors.

After reading the sales letter, I was already mentally composing my review and anticipating earning loads of affiliate commissions. By the time I had downloaded my copy of the book and read a couple of chapters, I had thrown out my plan to promote the book.

One of the first things to strike me was that the book contained many typographical errors and obvious spelling mistakes. Call me picky but, f a person asks me to pay for a book, I don't think I'm being unreasonable in expecting it to be free from typos and spelling errors. It got worse: I didn't have to read far before I noticed some passages that made no sense; it was obvious that something had gone wrong during a cutting and pasting operation, and this had not been detected during final proof-reading. In fact, I doubted that anyone had bothered to proof-read the book before publishing.

The content turned out to be just a rehash of old ideas plus some out of date references. One of the author's recommendations was to produce articles to be passed off as your own work by pasting together paragraphs lifted from articles by other authors. From the overall style of the book, I could tell that much of the writing had been created by using that very technique (hence the number of cut and paste errors). That, despite the so-called author's protestations to the contrary, is plagiarism and plagiarism is pure theft.

Hopefully you will never find such a huge gulf between the sales page and the actual content in any affiliate product you decide to promote but, if you don't buy the product and test it, you will never know whether you are promoting a turkey or an eagle. Your customers will. Your reluctance to invest in a sample of the product could cost you your credibility and recovery from that is much harder than recovering the cost of the product out of future sales.

My suggestion is get a part time job and learn about AM in the time you're not working. Once you become knowledgable enough, start a small campaign then scale your way up. If you find you're profitable then see if you can do it full time

Get a job. You're not going to instantly make money from affiliate marketing. You probably won't make anything in the first few months. I know people who have tried for three years or more and still haven't made a penny. Meanwhile your bills are piling up and you need a place to stay. Just suck it up, get a job, and work on affiliate marketing during your off time.

I would get a job. Most people fail because they lack the ability to drive cost effective traffic.that converts .

I have been successfully promoting cpa/affiliate offers for over 16 years. I do things quite a bit different than most.

First off I heavily promote PPL (pay per lead...lead generation) offers, because no credit card / purchase is needed for someone to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form in order to generate a commission. So conversion rates are typically much higher for lead gen offers, than offers that require a purchase.

To generate traffic I acquire data(email lists), because I'm building assets that I then own and can market to over and over at a very low cost. Compared to what most marketers do, which is to pay for traffic, which will often just end up generating a bunch of clicks that fail to convert.

I buy fresh/targeted data that I know what the users are interested in and I know a PPL offer exists that matches their interest. I generate real-time co-reg that targets specific PPL offers. I buy aged data, which is a bit more complex and requires some additional tools/resources to do profitably. I also rev-share fresh/targeted with list owners, where they provide the data upfront at $0 cost and then I split the revenue generated from sending it.

Essentially I monetize data using PPL offers, because they offer the path of least resistance to generating conversions and converting the data into cash producing assets.

The above is really the short of the long and much more is involved, but it does work and can be extremely profitable. Everyone that I know that is in the business and knows what they are doing, does 6-7 figures. While that a really huge range, much comes down to ones ability to scale and effectively manage the infrastructure that comes with scaling.

    Anyeay, something to think about.

I suggest you the simplest way. You can start your work as a freelancer. There are so many options such as freelance writer, photographer, web developer, web designer and many more other options. In which field you are perfect you can chose it. After it you can get project from online sites like Upwork, Fiverr, 99designs, peopleperhour and many other sites.
You just need to build your strong portfolio and I suggest you always work with Esignatures(electronic) It can help you to sign agreement with the client and you can stay secure from online frauds. So you can work easily.
I hope it will help you.

You are not going to make fast, easy money online. It takes skills and time and dedication. Get another job or risk being broke, hungry and homeless.

If you find yourself in a situation like this, the best thing to do is to stay clear off affiliate marketing, ad network and IM related kind of businesses because it needs a long term learning skills.

    My best bet is Freelancing.

    My reasons are:

    1. You only have to learn a skill unlike IM when you will need to learn how to setup a site, drive traffic to your site and also learn how to convert that traffic into sales.

    2. Most freelance site already have strong customer base, trust and traffic. All you need to do is key into it, have a skill and showcase it.

Your job is to meet the expectations of your clients.
