Has anyone used link exchanges or banner exchanges?

I am a member of some of them and you can choose the websites you would like to publish on and the links you would be happy to pomote.

I checked with my AM and she says it is OK as long as it is not PTC or adult site.

Has anyone got any experience there?

    I do an exchange on my arcade that exchanges with other arcades.
    In the past I have done banner exchanges on my new sites just for the fast exposure. I always end up removing them after awhile though.
    The main worry is linking back to a bad neighborhood, so make sure the exchange is reputable.
    I quit with the link exchanges since they serve little purpose. I have 2 requests in my inbox now that I am going to decline.

    If I see a site I like I'll link to it.

      ty. That's what I thught, too. I reject 9.9 out of 10 though...

      But as my site is new and has't even been added to the crawler, they helped me climb up to pg 2 in 2 days on Google
      .... So at least I profited that way.... :rolleyes:
