SEO - Building Links that point to url that redirects to your offer page?

I am totally new to CPA and somewhat new to the Warrior Forum. I would consider myself moderate when it comes to SEO skills but I wanted to know if I purchase a keyword rich domain would Google honor the backlinks I build if they point to that keyword rich domain but then it automatically redirects to my offer domain? I hope that makes sense.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Chadisa,

I personally wouldn't recommend doing this.

Why not just do SEO on your offer domain, instead of redirecting? It sounds like the only reason you want to do SEO on the one site is because it's a keyword rich domain name. That is an on-page factor, so don't worry about it to much. Just worry about what you can control on your current site, and build some links.

There is something called cloaking, which we don't recommend. However, that is where you would "present" one page to the search engine's crawlers, but redirect users to another URL.

    Thanks, Justin

I agree, your domain only does so much, it's what is actually on the site that counts, especially if your doing SEO, but if your just using this as a redirect to use in articles, vid descriptions, yahoo answers etc... then I'd say go for it.

Well my original thought was to actually SEO the keyword rich domain and have it redirect to my CPA offer domain because the CPA offer domain is this weird "non sexy" domain. I didn't think I could just SEO the CPA offer domain and have it "work". Is that right?

    Hi ,

What I reccomend is instread of redirecting into your CPA offer , just create a pre-sell landing page .

I often found that pre-sell landing pages converts better that redirecting into your CPA offer.

If you are doing a CC submit that pays $30-$40 per order, then yes, PPC with pre-selling will do you fine. Check your keywords and make sure you can't rank with an article before purchasing the keywords. There are plenty of keywords out there that people buy without knowing that an ezinearticle correctly optimized will reach the top spot in 4 days for free.
Yeah I totally agree with you. I am looking to do a free trial offer (pay S&H) and I wanted to stay away from PPC in the beginning because I am so new to CPA. I feel like I am moderately good at SEO (keyword research, etc) so I was just going to go down that road. I originally thought having a landing page would hinder my conversions because it's an extra step they have to go through to convert. You guys are saying that it might actually help conversions? I know it depends on the offer, etc.
