Commission Junction's Pay Per Call Program Feedback

Hello fellow Warriors,
For the first time today I've noticed CJ's Pay Per Call , where you get paid to drive calls to advertiser's call center.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
I'm looking for any and all feedback.

From the CJ site:
"We're excited to introduce a new opportunity for you - CJ PayPerCall. Our new pay-per-call platform enables you to drive calls to advertisers' call centers and be paid for those calls.
Benefits to you include:
» Higher Commissions (and Increased Conversion Rates)
» Explore New Promotional Methods - Online & Offline
» Add Lift to Click-based Campaigns "

Thanks,
Diego

    Why bother?
    CJ is a scam!

Do a search on this forum, the search box is above, and you will find a lot of dis-satisfied warriors with them.

I just got approved, and it looks like there are 15 different advertisers with call commissions from $1 up to $25. There is a personal insurance for $10/call

I hadn't heard about this offer but seems to be good one. Its relatively easy to drive a visitor to call specific place rather then making a sale.

Sounds interesting...I'd love to know more. Could be a huge potential in offline advertising.

That sounds interesting.. But ofcourse it's better to look first of some proofs and reviews to make sure that it's working beneficially to all. :-)

I've gotten 43 calls to one of the advertisers and only 2 counted towards pay. I say waste of my time so I stopped promoting it.

Go back into your account and run a report, then click on the details and it will show you how long each call lasted, what time they called, where the call came from, etc.. Check the advertisers guidelines i.e. call duration, targeted region, hours etc.. This will tell you exactly why the other calls were not paid.

How long have you been doing pay per call?
          Is it profitable?

Well in my opinion CJ is not a scam! I've been paid on time every month. And as far as pay-per-call goes. I think that tracking your leads through your assigned phone number is much more effective than links. Since with links the pixel does not always fire and with CPA there is a lot of shaving. With pay per call each lead is credited as long as the call remains on the line for the specified time frame, i.e. 1min 30secs, 5min, etc. And If you had 43 calls and only 2 leads, then the other 41 must have disconnected before the specified time or did not meet the criteria when calling. Try calling the number yourself and find out what they are asking for and and to see how long it takes your call to be completed. Then you can be much more specific in your advertising in order to bring in more responsive and qualified leads. Good luck.

I have done extremely well with pay per call but once I was owed $3000 and I wasn't paid by cj because the advertiser never paid them. I was not too happy.

First, I am completely satisfied with Commission Junction, it is providing a sizable income for me. I have had a few problems, however they have great customer service that works to make it right.

As for Pay Per Call, this is a program you do not want to miss out on. This of course depends on the content of your website and the advertisers that are on the program.

Over 30% of the money I generate on CJ is now from Pay Per Call, the tracking is percise and the payouts large.

The beauty of Pay Per Call is that you can promote the service and/or phone number and you appear to be just "helping" rather than selling. The service I am promoting pays for each phone call, plus each sale. Paid for the call one day, the sale the next.

If you are not taking advantage of Pay Per Call you are missing out.

Can anybody who has been successful with Pay Per Call please describe how you promote you Pay Per Call campaigns?

When signing up for the program, CJ asks for a Facebook or a Linkedin profile URL. Did you have those? Do you use them to promote Pay Per Call?

I have a moderately successful review site that was making sales until the Google algorithm change on March 1.

I need new ways of marketing Pay Per Call. Any suggestions? Thank you!

            C

    Hey There,

My Network ranking just jumped to 5 bars and I have to thank pay per call for the income bump. WalkerWarrior asked how to market the phone number pay per call, that's the beauty of it, there are a million ways. Best of all, the numbers can be given out on "just a tip" or "Might try these folks" and you come off as a hero just helping rather than selling something.

I applaud CJ for bringing pay-per-call to the affiliate masses... However, I am not a fan of them and the way things run there.

I do think that there is a strong marketplace for pay-per-call offers, and I'd love to see our current CPA Networks pick up this technology and stock offers. If a CPA network I already trusted offered me pay-per-call, I'd be all over it!
