CPA and website question

Hi CPA'ers,

So, I get accepted into a CPA network based on my current website on the basis they like that it targets a wide demographic. All good.

Any traffic I send from there great, if however the majority of the traffic I send ends up coming from other niche sites I set up specifically to target certain offers, will the network get upset that the traffic isn't coming from the main original website they approved?

Well first off all a website is not mandatory to get approved by cpa networks. I dont have a website and i am still approved with lot of cpa networks. Fill in the application and pick your phone and talk to them. be confident and honest on how you gonna promote than you are in.

Sorry Kris. I wasnt clear maybe. I have been accepted already. WHen I spoke to my affiliate manager on the phone they praised how well my site would do because of its target market.

My question was, as they love that site so much, will they be pigged off with me if I use mainly other sites to get the traffic?

      Laurence,

Once you are accepted by a network the website you used to get accepted becomes kind of irrelevent.

So long as you sending legitimate traffic to the network and getting conversions everyone will be happy. In fact, if your traffic is legit and you make no conversions your account will be ok.

I actually promote my aff links for both CJ and Linkshare on various mediums in addition to my websites (like my blogs at blogspot). Also, I recently decided to try a new tactic by posting my affiliate links to the various advertisers I am promoting via cj and linkshare on rotators (the cj ones are on a hits connect rotator and the linkshare ones are at the TE toolbox one) and am experimenting with that route, though haven't generated any leads or sales for the companies I am promoting lately that way

Also with tracking, can you see via your network how many clicks you have and where they come from etc? Or do we use an external software to do that?

Thinking I would work out via my landing pages where the clicks came from and cross reference with network click stats. Would that work to track things?

You wont be able to get any detailed stats about your traffic from the network, although they will be able to tell where your traffic is coming from to a certain degree.

I would highly recommend Google Analytics as its extremely easy to use and gives you a lot of info on your traffic. You will need to to use conversion tracking to track where conversions are coming from which is very important.

The cpa game is about testing and tracking and testing and tracking some more. Track as specifically as possibly everything so you can optimize your overall campaign.

      Good luck!
