I'm getting 1.2 million uniques/year - which CPA course should I buy to make the most of it??

G'day everyone,

Need your expert suggestions on this one!

I'm part owner of a site that's getting around 100,000
unique visitors every month.

It's a "Free Classifieds" type site and 100% of the traffic
is free, natural search engine traffic.

We've currently got a few AdSense blocks on there, which
are generating a half decent revenue...

However I know we could be generating a LOT more if we
ran CPA ads.

But instead of blindly going out and signing up to
random networks and putting up random ads, I'd
love to first look through a course that's geared
towards someone in my position...

********************************
So my question is: Which CPA Course/Product should
I purchase to learn how to maximise earnings on an
established site that's already getting big traffic?
********************************

I know there are tonnes of CPA products out there,
but most of them seemed geared towards people
who don't already have a site/traffic - i.e. they teach
how to setup flogs/blogs and advertise on AdWords, etc...

We've already got the traffic - we just want to
maximise our site's monetisation by using CPA Ads
instead of AdWords.

I don't care if it's a $50 product or a $5,000 product,
or whether it's currently for sale or a sold out launch
product - any recommendation I'll take a look at.

If you can give me a really good response/answer, maybe
I can even purchase through your affiliate link :-D

Again, I'm after a CPA Course that's geared towards marketers
that ALREADY have an established site/traffic, but want to
graduate from AdSense to CPA in order to increase revenue.

Look forward to hearing your expert opinions ;-)

Cheers,
- parker

Most courses teach about how to get traffic to your your site. You already get so much traffic, I am not sure why you want to take a course. I would just analyze what kind of traffic I am getting and set up the CPA ads accordingly. May be you have different plans.

    Hi there Parker

wow all that traffic that's brilliant.

What I would do is sign up to a couple of good cpa networks, and then get on the phone to one of their account managers. Even ask for the top guy there. With that kind of traffic, they will really want to talk to you.

Then ask them what in their experience works well on your type of site. Ask them what others with similar types of site, put on them.

They will have this knowledge at their fingertips or should have.

There are some owners of CPA companies on this forum. Maybe then can advise. Or PM them to get a discussion going.

A good account manger is there to give you this type of information, they want your traffic, you want their cpa offers that convert best given your traffic demographics.

Ask for one of their senior account managers or business development managers, or even look up the directors and contact them direct.

    HTH just a suggestion.

      Exactly this. Only do this.
Dont waste your time with courses.

my take on the networks mentioned:

I like Neverblue. they have a pretty wide range of offers so is good for your situation. Their AM's got it together and will be helpful

Hydra has great offers too, but they won't be nearly as helpful as NB (self service if you know what to do) as they use different criteria for hiring their AM's

no comment whatsoever on clickbooth. take a hint.

COPEAC if I seem to remember is big on dating offers (but may have others, you need to check) and their owner mike is known to be quite stand up and helpful. maybe a good place to look as well if you need hand holding.

and Market Leverage is really self-service slangin pills and other things.

    Hi Parker me again,

I just realised that I didnt answer your question about cpa coaching/course. Sorry for that. But I guess it's because you already have the traffic and now just need to find the offer. Targetted traffic is the really really difficult bit for most of us, whereas picking a cpa offer the easy bit. So I guess I just don't think you need a CPA course.

I would also look at whoever you think are you biggest competitors, and see what quantcast and alexa say about them. If they are a big traffic site then either qcast or alexa (I cant remember off hand) will give you a big list of other sites these people visit.

So if it says these people were interested in WOW, Teethwhitening, Gambling, free games, dating, and you knew that your visitors were the same or approximately the same type of people as those that visited your competitors site, then you could look at cpa offers that matched.

    Appreciate all the responses.

Yeah makes sense, if I've already got the traffic I guess I just
need to start joining the networks and testing their offers.

And good point about getting in touch with their acct. managers,
    hadn't even thought of that.

One more thing; Anyone know of a thread with CPA Network reviews?

    I had a look around and saw this;

    http://www.warriorforum.com/ad-netwo...-networks.html

But it's a bit overwhelming. Wouldn't mind just starting off with
a few of the more trustworthy ones.

Also, is there ever problems with CPA Networks if you're based
    outside the U.S.?

    Appreciate the help :-D

      Hi Parker,

Well, uv certainly got a nice position to be in with all that traffic! =D

Most people would hav to do media buys to get their offer in front of that many people!

I agree with the idea of getting ur site Quantcasted so u can narrow down on the exact demographics of ur visitors. N the main thing with any online campaign is TEST, TEST, TEST n also TRACK, TRACK, TRACK!

luckily, in ur case, this shud be SUPER easy for u to achieve. one cud go into INSANE amounts of detail as to how much u want to track, but that's entirely up to u.

However, if I were u, I'd prob sign up with NeverBlue, Copeac, Clickbooth, Market Leverage, and perhaps Hydra and a few others to start off with. That's PLENTY already!

Even if u only joined the above networks, ud get lost with all the offers u hav access to! Most of them wud be similar anyway. I don't know abt ur site, but perhaps there's different sections that attract different demographics.

So for example, if there's a section frequented by women aged 30-40, perhaps a dating offer, or beauty product. Another section, u may hav men aged 18-30, perfect for MANY offers.

u cud just strategically place banners for a few days, or a week, calculate the click thru rate vs conversion rate, then test another offer the next week. like i said, luck u for having all that traffic already!

as for probs with CPA offers n living outside USA, there's no prob. a lot of offers r available for Australia (if that's where most of ur traffic is from).

I've got someone in mind that charges for 1 on 1 coaching, 15 mins up to 1 hour. PM me if ur interested in getting in touch with him, he's VERY knowledgeable. like every1 said, u don't need help learning how to get traffic, just some tips.

      Good luck!

P.S. Perhaps I could purchase some of that traffic for my CPA offers? =)

I agree....you are going to absolutely crush it with that much traffic if you start using cpa offers. Not sure what your traffic is like, but try a netflix offer which has a high payout for little upfront cost by user and its very legit. Some sites absolutely kill it with netflix banners.

When you joing the networks (I would recommend sticking with the legit ones) the affiliate managers will be your best resource. Speak with your AM asap and they will help you with what offers to choose and show you the ropes. Sometimes AMs dont know their butt from their elbow so work with a few networks, cross test, split test, and keep optimizing.

With those numbers, you can def make a GOOD GOOD passive income stream.

    Good luck man

      Sounds good.

I'll take a look at NeverBlue, COPEAC, Clickbooth, Market Leverage and Hydra for starters.

Any other "big ones" you'd suggest? Is CJ still any good?

Any of the larger networks that have been around for a while. There are many but I like neverblue, hydra, clickbooth, cxdigital, maxbounty, copeac, lidango.

You dont need to belong to all, but apply to a few so you can cross test offers across multiple networks. You will be surprised how different the conversions are sometimes.

        good luck

No need to buy a CPA course. Just join a CPA network, and fast!

Good ones in my humble opinion are affiliate(.)com, pepperjam, cxdigital, copeac, wotogepa and others. Join and start posting some banners and see how you do.

CPA courses are all about tricky methods and driving traffic. Driving traffic is not a problem for you, at least for this site. The only other way a CPA course would help you is to give you completely new methods unrelated to your site. But if you just want to know how to capitalize on the traffic you already have, you do not need a course!

      Hi there me again.

I have tried lots of the above mentioned, all seem to be ok. I liked Max Bounty. PAid me on time and treated me well even though I was small fry to them. The owner or director has acutally posted on here a few times.

If they treated me well even though I was small, I guess they would be but they would probably be all over you like a rash.

I have a site that doesn't get that much traffic, but I do have email addresses and permission to send the listed businesses a newsletter. Soooo...I'm sending them emails that match their business type (i.e restaurants get a newsletter that hypes great recipes, which I have as a PLR). If you can contact them and your TOS says you will send them an email, you've got gold.

Is the "Free Classifieds" type site for North America? Most of these cpa networks listed are targeted for americans

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.

Nah Rajuthan, it's an entirely Australian-based site, and
only 10% of our traffic is from North America.

So far I've applied to the networks below and followed up
with them over the phone. Had a 50/50 success rate getting accepted.

    COPEAC - Accepted
NeverBlue - Pending, looks like it'll be accepted
Hydra - Pending, looks like it'll be accepted
MaxBounty - rejected ("You won't find any relevant offers in our network.")
Clickbooth - rejected ("You won't find any relevant offers in our network.")
MarketLeverage - rejected (they don't accept classifieds sites)

Will also join up to CJ.com. I figure with them plus the
accepted 3 networks above, we'll have plenty of offers
to test for a few months.

After that perhaps we can reach out to some other networks.

Again, appreciate all the suggestions. Maybe I should come
back in a couple of months and update how I went :O

Focus on selling products that actually benefit your viewers. Basically, you are using your good name to sell a product. Make sure your customers are happy with their purchase. OK many product I see for sale on CPA sites are marginal. Selling cheap high margin junk may get money in the box today, but long term your rep is in ruins.

You could always just sell traffic to affiliates, watch what they do for a few months, and then launch your own, similar campaigns.

It's the unfortunate downside of affiliate marketing through paid traffic, is that anything can be copied. You own the site though, so you can do whatever you want.

If your after AU offers, you could try CommissionMonster and DMG.

If you have on your free classifieds site a section "car for sale" section, I suggest you to find a cpa offer about "free car price quotes". You can then suggest to your users to get a price quote for their car to know its value and sell it fast...
