Quick Question on Landing Page

If the advertiser already has a landing page with good copy, testimonials, etc...would you still create your own landing page?

If not, what is your suggestion to avoid direct linking so that the CPA network and advertiser doesn't find out how I do my campaign?

I would still link to your own LP and get their email before sending them off to the ultimate goal.

My free PSD logs can be downloaded at PSD Bum. Enjoy!

it all depends - mostly direct linking is better but sometimes a pre-sales page can get higher conversions.

Anyways, if you are saying you want to hide what your doing with direct linking from the CPA networks you need to use what is called a Double Meta Refresh.....These are little scripts that just pass you along to the next url like this

    your ad --->>>>> server A --->>>>> server B -->>>> CPA network

Now the CPA network just see's server B coming in that made the sale (server a and b are your severs that you installed the little metarefresh scripts on).

At least I think that answers your question.

What are your thoughts on redirects? Like if I get a domain forward it to the affiliate link...will that prevent it?

Sorry...my original question of preventing the CPA networks in finding out my source of traffic.

I use redirects with article marketing sometimes. But I find that simple landing pages are more effective. I can make an effective landing page in a few minutes using images and banners provided by the network

You need a double metarefresh to hide your referrer. New browsers like google chrome will pass the referrer even if you cloak it using something like tracking202 cloaking. I learnt that the expensive way

For article marketing you can just use a redirect

I'm partial to having my own landing page. Although the effectiveness of the landing page will depend on the CPA offer that you're promoting. The benefits of using your own landing page is to "pre-sell" the visitor on the offer you're promoting as well as to capture the optin lead so that you can advertise directly to that visitor in the future.

Depends on the offer though. I you are promoting a email submit, say for example the walmart gift card, what is there really to presell? All you have to do is throw the offer in front of people

Hey guys I'm new here to WF, I like what I'm seeing. Alot of great info on CPA. I been direct liking CPA offers but havent really made any ''bang for my buck'' I've made a couple of sales but nothing amazing. So I wanted to try to make some review style landing pages. I have dreamweaver cs4 (which I dont know how to use) And I've been going over some step by step cs4 videos.

The problem is I got this Lynda DVD step by step videos for cs4. But it's a sea of info thats will take me months to learn! When ALL I wanna do is create a presale review page! I dont need all the extra fluff in the videos! Does anyone know what steps I need to take to do this OR maybe recommend an easier website developing software?

You should use Wordpress. There are a lot of free WP landing pages. Just type it in Google.

what you need are templates that you just modify in dream weaver.

Dreamweaver is to much of a learning curve to create simple Landing Pages. Xsite pro or Bluevoda are much easier and you publish pages with a click of your mouse.

Thanks Bujoi! Is anyone using Stats Junkie? I know they have a one flat rate offer you can pay (something like $350) And you will have it for life, but do you have to pay monthly for it? I know everytime you pull your stats from Yahoo or Google or whatever you get charged a couple of cents.

But will stats Junkie charge a recurring monthly fee for use?

I have stats junk, optimize my site, and adtracz --- the best one of all of these is the FREE tracking202. Just use that

I think constructing a decent converting landing page is the easiest part of internet marketing. I can literally create a lp in minutes. Of course this applies to CPA offers only, as there is no real need to presell much for an email submit. If it is something like **** berry free trial type of stuff, then you obviously have to focus more on preselling.

you do direct linking with adwords?

It all depends on your traffic. SOme traffic converts better with presell yet other traffic, no need. If you are doing something like PPC then conversion or not, you may need to build a LP just to get decent clicks.

As for the FTC, just make your LP compliant, no big deal. Slap Oprah pictures and endorsements all over and youre asking for trouble. Just use your noggin and create a good clean page.
