Lead generating offers (PPC Landing Pages)

I am actually a little confused when create a landing page for a lead generating offer, eg... 500 bucks at best buy, what sort of page do you do? Keep it short and sweet, long form, blog, news paper type article. Any examples that you could PM to me would be great or just tips are also appreciated.

I wouldn't suggest using any fake news or anything if that's what you were thinking of doing. FTC is cracking down big time next week. A good example for you go with is something like this:

Top 3 Recommended - Womans Weight Loss Free Trials

But, in reality, your biggest issue is keyword targeting. Make sure you the keywords you're targeting are showing up somewhere on your page. Like, for example. If you were doing business opp.

And your main keyword is "home business" then somewhere in your heading you need to have "home business" in the wording. Something like "Quit Your Job Today, Start a Profitable Home Business Tomorrow" or whatever. Having the keyword in the heading lets the visitor, who actually SEARCH for that keyword to find your ad and your page, that your offer is relevant to their needs.

It's kinda tricky creating landing pages for zip/email submits since you need to balance having content to please the search engines with making the page have a simple call to action. A blog with some real content on it where you talk about maybe products at Best Buy and then have some ads/text links to the Best Buy gift card offer could work well.

I'm not a lawyer but I think that page may be violating the new guidelines too.

Text like "Below are the results of 186 people with different body types who consumed this product for one month: " are a problem because there is no link backing up those claims. It's essentially the same idea as a fake testimonial.

Anyway, I don't know for sure but that's how I read the new regulations. I would definitley ask a lawyer who was familiar with the guidelines before running anything like that.

It is. This is just an old landing page. My new pages have like paragraphs of disclaimers and whatnot. I was just showing him a landing page type he could use, not neccessarily what the FTC compliance regs were.

But that's good to note that this is just an example of landing page, not necessarily full FTC regulation compliance as it has been updated. But as far as layout and landing page type, this should serve as a good example.

Also, on another note, most of the FTC regs are centered around lying affilates who say anything to get a sale, even post fake reviews, fake news, and what have you. Most of the FTC regs are about you proving that the claims are valid.

If you say "Earn Up To $320 a Day With My System" you need to have records that you or someone you've personally have helped has earned that amount in a day for a certain period. Also, the regs center around "results are not typical" statments. You can't just say "Results not typical" anymore and get away with it.

You have to say stuff like "Results not typical. Only 7 our of 10 people actually make money with this system and out of that 70% of people who make money with this system, only 30% of them are making enough to double their money...." or whatever, and THEN be able to back up all of those claims.

Everyone is getting all worried about the new FTC regs when, if you're a legit business person, getting compliant is the easiest thing to do. The only type of people it effects are the ones making up BS about making $5k a week and they don't have proof that either them or someone they've helped has made that amount on a consistent basis.

Or people who make up phony reviews and the people cannot be found to verify the proof. If you're an honest person and you explain everything in details from an honest standpoint, not only would you make more money while having less refunds, you will also be FTC compliant.

    That simple.

You can use a blog as a landing page to generate leads with free trial or just pay shipping offers. You pre-sell on your landing page and ask for the opt-in and then redirect to CPA page where they will enter the whole info to obtain the trial or sample product.

I don't think this method will work as well for other offers that just ask for email or zip.
