Hi CPA Marketers,

Are the CPA networks against us using a lot of video marketing in our campaigns?

Cheers!

Ask your affiliate managers. I probably have 2000 videos up on youtube that I created a while back and still earn money, thats the great thing abotu video marketing...at least for newbies. Lot of up front work but its free.

A good thing to do, just like with many non main traffic sources is to send the traffic to your regular web site or landing page and then they will click through to your offer from there. In this case, affiliate manager most likely wont give a darn because its coming from a good last source.

Ken, in your video marketing - what do you show on the videos? You teaching about certain stuff...or slideshow or commercial?

Never do a real straightforward ad, thats not what people on youtube are looking for.

Make video entertaining and tie it into the offer somehow. You can make your own video or use software to make dozens in minutes.

what will be the problem because if you advertise the link inside the vido the prospect will type the link directly to the adress bar so they cant see the traffic source

I told my affiliate manager at Copeac about my interest in Youtube marketing. I explained that a lot of people like to post tutorials and stuff and then have a link to an offer... she didn't seem too familiar with Youtube marketing but sounded pretty intrigued.

I find it absolutely amazing how clueless some AMs are. I feel like some networks just pick up these people on the street and they have no idea how much knowledge they have t their fingertips. Thats probably a good thing though if you think about it!

Most AMs are solid though, didnt want to completely categorize all of them

As long as you are using your videos to send traffic to your landing page before sending them on to your offer you should be fine.

check with your AM...check with your AM...and...also read the offer details, with most networks, they'll tell you the offer and traffic restrictions.

I see there would be no issues with video traffic at all.

On that topic I follow comscore pretty closely. Also watching the top 25 media networks because we're large scale buyers. One thing sort of extrordinary has happened lately. In the last 12 months 3 video ad networks have popped into the top 15. With that said, and kind of off topic, I think there's a huge opportunity to consider advertising on these video networks. Because I don't think many are doing it.

Absolutely. Video marketing is very useful if you can constantly upload related videos of your offer. You need an automated tool, unless you are going to make a tutorial yourself.

I agree with Kenster, YouTube, Vimeo and other video sites can be great to post tutorials or other content that is not perceived as an offer or sale and direct it to a blog or landing page with a pre-sale for the offer.

Even a nice banner on an article on the blog (landing page) should be enough if you pick their interest.

Make video - include URL in text and verbally state it at the end.
Forward URL to opt in page - NOT directly to sell them something.
Make opt in a Free Guide on the "One biggest secret to (insert niche here)
    See 50%+ opt in rates.
    Build targeted list.
Provide quality content on (insert niche here)
    Sell quality products.

Profit and profit hard and long due to list building.

Wang vids up to multiple video sharing sites using Tubemogul or Traffic Geyser.

    Social bookmark videos
Wang a couple of 2.0's back to each video with different anchor text in each.
See videos do well in Serps.

    There's the WH elements...

Oh and traffic is entirely untracable from the video sites, although I can't imagine any network not accepting video marketing traffic as long as it's legit.

Video marketing is probably my main source of driving traffic to cpa offers right now. I'm with both Market Leverage and COPEAC and they're fine with it. Its true though, my AM's had no clue about how I was going to go about it when I first told them.
