CPA -What to pick 1st: Product, industry, network?

Hi, I have been doing various IM things succesfully so far, but I'm learning about CPA marketing. I'm a beginner in that field.

And I'm wondering if the best strategy is to pick a product, a whole industry, or a niche, or a network first...
And then, should one build a website first (say, on golf or travelling), or get started with CPA offer first test it with adwords and articles?

Two basic questions, but your input would be appreciated...

In my very humble opinion, I'd go very narrow when choosing a CPA offer. I'd go niche or product, then find the proper long tail keywords and test them with a PPC advertising campaign before launching into a website.

For me, it's hard to apply CPA account membership unless you have huge visitor on your web site. I started my IM with Pay Per Sale affiliate system.

    Can't go wrong with -

    HydraNetwork
    Neverblueads
    Azoogle.

Check out the offers in one of those networks first.

Ok, thanks guys. I'll search for a specific product and see if I'm allowed to sign up to a good CPA network.

I think it's best to try and pick a broad niche and build a website around that. Build some general pages for ppc plus some long tail pages to capture seo. Once you have the niche it's much easier to swap the the CPA offers in and out.

The main problem you'll face with CPA is that you'll just start to get successful with a particular offer and it will be pulled.

Yeah, lack of control is what has kept me away from CPA so far. (Starting with the CPA networks, and then with the fact that offers come and go...). I understand your point about a broad niche... (Damn, it's confusing).

But still, from what I hear, CPA is the absolute most profitable thing online for a beginner who can work on it for a month or two. (Other stuff is less profitable or takes much more time and is much less scalable.)

I would honestly pick a few products, test them with ppc, and go from there. Why spend your time and energy building a site for a product that doesn't convert?

Selecting a niche is the most important! If you do the proper research you should get a pretty good if of how it will convert.
