Retail CPA Offer Worth While ?

I was told by an AM about a retail site that was popular - the payout is 17 % on all sales. does that sound like that would work from your experience?

A landing page would have to be created to direct to the site?

Thanks

I would not recommend PPC on something like this (if that's what you are planning to do). % sales work well for high traffic sites as a banner.

This percentage is good for retail. For example amazon only pays 4%+. I would say it depends on the value of one item is it $5 of $500? This is the question #1.

Another consideration is what is the product? If it's something that people want, obviously it will sell more. I think physical products probably sell more volume still on the internet, as most people looking to buy on the internet are just regular folk looking for regular products. Info products are really picking up, but I'm not sure if they're really mainstream yet. I'm sure I could be wrong, but that's what I've observed.

It's 17% on anything purchased, the products are all expensive online luxury fashion cloths and handbags you get the commission after the sale.
I think its to general I would have to pick a few products and market those if I was going to do something with it.

It depends upon the product and the niche. Before jumping into PPC, try other less expensive promotions like PPV or contextual (if allowed). Check with your AM.
