Is YouTube considered social media or...?

Warriors...

Have a CPA offer that I think is hot, but will not allow Social Media...only search, web & banner...how do you define YouTube?

    That's a good question. I would say, no, it's not. But just ask your affiliate manager to be sure.

    I guess they are meaning any site that's not your own where you can make a profile and perform an action, such as youtube where you can upload videos, or facebook where you can make a profile and get friends. But I would not call youtube social media myself. When I think of social media being banned I would think they are worrying about you spamming your friends list that made up with a fake profile or something, whereas youtube can generally be used completely legitimately, although I guess you could spam through direct messages there as well.

    I think with out a doubt you can consider YouTube a social media site. I mean its really no different then Facebook, or My Space. The only difference is that you can put actual vidoes of things on there, but you still leave messages and have a home page like all the other sites.

    Youtube is a social media site. You create content that you upload and share with other users. You are interacting with others that are also using Youtube and by commenting on videos you are joining in a conversation.

    Agree with the posts above, normally it is considered social media but perhaps if the offer is really hot your affiliate manager may let you test out youtube. who knows
