Need Some Serious Warrior Advice

For the last year or so I've been messing around with different markets and different offers with mild success in each. I've promoted things like Bankruptcy filing services, Id theft protection, pc software and a few clickbank products.

I've been sort of jumping from project to project and I know that lack of focus is part of the problem, but also lack of traffic, I couldn't really afford to pay for the ppc costs of some of those keywords so I had to rely on less expensive keywords...

Anyways, what I want to do now is get into something completely new, I'm not much of a hobbyist, so I can go for anything, but I'm pretty sick of what I've done before so I'd like some advice from you Warriors about what niches you consider interesting and lucrative. This time I've got a larger budget for a pro site and for more adequate ppc and cpv traffic. I just don't want to waste time again. So I'm looking for ideas.

Thanks a lot!

Why don't you stick with the sites you already have and that you are paying for ppc traffic on and see which keywords are converting and do some seo on them!

Then you automatically know that there will be sales when you get higher rankings and will make more, plus you could outsource the backlinking tasks or pay for software to help you out too!

Oh and i think it was top 3 google rankings get 80% more clicks than the sponsored ppc ads in google (something around that mark) so your traffic would also jump up a hell of alot!

Well...first off, if we have an awesome niche idea... we already put a site there...monetized it, and directed traffic to it! LOL

    Seriously though...

    1. Find something you love. Make it a niche that you find interesting, enjoy talking about, blogging about, and helping people with.

    2. Make sure that you add useful content so that people will learn or gain from your site. At a minimum, they should at least be entertained.

    3. Monetize it simply. Add 1 product, either your own, or affiliate product, click bank, or PLR. Keep the monetization simple. Another good strategy is to start with Opt-In before monetization, and monetize later.

    4. Give stuff away! The best way to attract people is with free stuff. Especially if it is a unique niche.

    5. Go to where people in this niche can be found...blogs, groups, forums, etc.\

    6. Since this is a niche you enjoy, spend time frequently surfing the net...talking about your niche...and giving stuff away!

An easy and fun path to success...

I would give the following advice.

If you have had success in anything youve done, just focus all your energy on that. Scale it up, or replicate it 50x over. This is easier if its a non-paid traffic source. So if you were able to create a niche site with an intertwined CPA offer, stick with that. Make 10 more similar sites.

Secondly, you can start fresh and I agree with above, the best place to start is with something you are passionate about. Work that into whatever method of traffic you want. It will keep you excited about the idea. This is one of the big problems a lot of marketers have. It gets very boring to do the same thing over and over sometimes, but sometimes it takes that repetition to get good...which is where the big money comes in.

As for what niches are interesting and lucrative, obviously the first is a matter of opinion. As for being lucrative, there are the typical niches like debt and weight loss that are lucrative beyond belief but of course thats where theres the most competition as well. You sound like you have a good foundation of knowledge, so perhaps you want to try and tap into these more competitive niches.

Lastly, if you are good at making things work you just hate to stick with one thing and tend to jump around, why not focus your energy this time around on a sustainable income stream. Be it a membership site or focusing on creating organic sustainable sites or building a list through squeeze pages, this will enable you to reap the profits of your current work in the future, even if you decide to move onto something else.

There's no need to branch out into something completely different. You said that you have had some success with your campaigns to date, and also that you were lacking the funds to bid on the more competitive PPC keywords. Instead of starting up a brand new campaign, why don't you pour some funds into those keywords you neglected and start tracking them all, and when things start becoming profitable then scale it up?

Starting up a whole new campaign will take more time and money, in my opinion. Why not start with what you already have, and test and tweak it for better results?

Hey guys thanks for your replies.

Everything you guys said makes a world of sense, I do understand that it's easier to do something that you care or are passionate about, it's a very odd and short list for me , which is why I chose the niches I mentioned above. I chose ID theft because I'm actually very concerned about it myself and the stuff I've found is pretty scary. I also got into PC software because I work in IT right now and it kind of made sense and I do like it but it hasn't really thrilled me and profits have been slow.

So I'm gathering that I should probably just stick to what I've started, focus on one thing, and use my new funds to outsource content and maybe redesign my sites for a more appealing look.

I will definitely consider this, I have actually already started writing a list of pros and cons for each site I have up right now that's sort of collecting dust and looking over old campaigns so I may just try it one more time with the one that made me the most.

      Thanks for your help Warriors!
