That is a great idea.

What if you just bought their account outright and then did what you want. You would be surprised how many people there are on youtube with huge followings and who would be willing to sell their account for a very reasonable price.

But, dont even bother with the people with huge accounts or blog type youtube accounts because they wont give you a second look. You may only get replies from 1 in 20 people but thats the work you need to put in. All about the traffic!

That is not a bad idea about buying the persons account. especially if the videos they create are related to what you are selling.

Just an update, I've got approval from one of the account owners to post link in the description field of a video (5000 visitors per day). Now looking for clickbank product to promote. Considering several options, an investment program (gravity 120), weight loss program and worldcraft products. The weight loss programs have all very high gravity (500) so I suppose that is a sign that I should choose something else. Of course there are more option too. The best would be to find product relevant to the video, but struggeling a bit there. But think maybe if 1% of 5000 per day buy a product then I would be satisfied, but more is better

Well what are the visitors viewing, what type of video/videos...this is the most important thing.

Also consider testing cpa offers in addition to clickbank. CPA generally converts a lot better and I suspect with very hard to sell visitors like youtube traffic, you need your action to be as easy as possible.

I agree on what you writes. I think I start with clickbank and test CPA later (I haven't signedup to any CPA network yet). I also think the convesion can be easier with CPA. But it's easy to start with clickbank as I just need to post a url to a affiliate site. I don't need to create a webpage or something to host the CPA offer etc... (I'm CPA newbie). So I think I start with clickbank and progress from there

From another SEO forum I've been told to hide my tracks if I want to utilize CPA from youtube video. I don't know why I need to hide my tracks. Will the CPA network be disappointed if they know my traffic comes from a youtube video?

  Loginname, have you thought about testing a media buy? Running your ad on youtube will get views, but not that many, and chances are the quality of that traffic isn't what the advertiser is looking for. You should try doing a media buy on whichever websites make the most sense for the offer your promoting. Not only will the volume be 100X what you'll get with youtube, the quality is going to be better too.

UPDATE:
I've got acceptance from one of the persons I contacted regarding putting a link in the description field.

I've just sent him a payment for March for listing the link.:
URL Description: tinyurl to a clickbank offer....

The video has about 15000 views per day. I'm happy if I get 5 sales per day. But hope of course for more.

(15000 views per day is very good in my opinion, compare that to my video which have about 5 views per month )

So far I don't see any sales in the clickbank report , But it's only a few hours since hte link appeared in youtube and the clickbak pages may be cached...

I report back more about my findings

Make sure the video has call to action at the end, not many people going to visit your url unless specified in video.

I would recommend checking out BuySellAds.com. They only cater to web dev and social media related sites but they allow you to use affiliate links. Also, another great (and VERY untapped) market is StumbleUpon. You have to structure your sites and pathways different but you don't face any competition on keyword bidding and traffic is EXTREMELY cheap!

Today I started promoting CPA offers via the youtube video. That is this video have a link to my landing site, this landing site contains CPA offers in addition to content. By the way, the content is related to the video.

But the convertsion is very bad or none existent. The video had 5000 views today, which resulted in only 2 clicked on my CPA offer. None generated any leads, I don't see any leads made inside the report I can view in MaxBounty

To market the CPA offer I put this text in the desecription field:
More Funny Stuff And Get Your FREE iPad: <url>

I thought that would be great text to use, especially as iPad is very hot now.

The text is maybe too long, after the new youtube layout the url is only visible as: http... (the rest is missing, but the link works).

any suggestions helping me getting better convertsion is greatly welcome

It's been about 6 hours since the link was put in the description field of the video, so far I don't have any sales, despite about 4000 views of the video. ClickBank may be slow to update their statistics or maybe I promote the wrong product. The product costs $95 so maybe a bit expensive. If product is too expensive I change to something cheaper. This is anyway first time I do this

totally! cpa quick zip submit or free trial might be the ticket... what is the video about? Maybe we could help you get into the best cpa network... I would suggest you sign up for a network b/c you might loose the youtube poster's interest by f ing around with non converting offers.

You can sign up with adscend pretty quick, really if you sign up to one, then call them the next day, you should get in. Just read this CPA Script Thread... It should help.

This video is a funny video, it's a compilation of several funny clips from americas funny videos. And I'm trying to promote some kind of a investment program, have gravity about 100 and I will get $66 per sale.
Not very related to the niche, but I thought lets try it.

I know CPA is better in that users don't have to buy anything, so it's easier to convert. I'm willing to try cpa. It's that with cpa I must place the cpa offer on a page with regular content on. Cannot have a page with only cpa offer on.

I have one site which may suit for this. e.g when clicking on the link in the video the user is taken to this site. It's a site where people can post their funny quotes, cool signatures etc. The site is listed in dir.yahoo.com directory. Thinks this site is more relevant to the video.

In another forum I've read that if I drive traffic to a cpa offer via youtube I need to hide my tracks, as the cpa company will not be happy if they find out I'm sending traffic from youtube to my landing site. Maybe they won't be so hard on it when they finds that my landing site is in the dir.yahoo.com directory etc. In other words youtube will not be the only source of traffic to my site, but traffic is very low as this moment - about 40 visitors each day.

What is the easiest cpa network to join? I thought it could be a good idea to join a network which is easy to join first. So that when joining MaxBounty I can say I'm member of xxxx and is only looking to diversify.

update:
I've sent email to MarketLeverage and asked if they have cpa offers which accept traffic directly from youtube. They replyed saying they have cpa offers accepting that. So I've sent in my application as publisher, so far I haven't got any email or call from them, it's been 24 hours. I suppose it's weekend time over there now... I will call them on Monday, if I haven't heard from them in the weekend.

the key to your personal success is using a free method... it's called giveaways.

Find a PLR product, join several giveaways, and submit this PLR as a free gift. They will sign up on your optin page for a free gift, and you wil gain subscribers. After thaht, run "ad swaps". Run a search on here if you dont know what an ad swap is.

Bottom line: your list will increase and you will be able to promote anything you want to them for profits. I have made a killing doing this

I've signed up to Market Leverage and is trying to contact an affilaite mananger. Each time I call them I get a message saying no affiliate available. I've tryed about 4 times. Now I called and I guess the time there should be aout noon - no affilite manager available. I guess I have to continue trying to reach them, maybe try another phone number than the number I got when I signed up

I'm about to loose my patience with Market Leverage. It's been 14 days since I applied as an publisher. I've called them several times, even left them a message on the phone, message containing my name, phone number and why I called.. so far haven't had any luck with them...

anyone here have some suggestions?

The best one that I know of is google ad words. I am sure there are other paid for click or traffic methods out there, but be careful. Start small and move up from there because you can lose a lot of money with all of them.

About 10 hours ago I added an annotation to the video, "Want a FREE iPad, see below for instructions". So far the CPA offer have resulted in 10 clicks and 2 leads. Which I think is bad as the video have about 1000 views each hour

So now I'm actually putting something into the video to teas the user to go and check out that link in the description field.

The CPA offer is only viewable for people in USA, so other people gets another CPA offer (SurveyScount I suppose)

I'm promoting email submit, think maybe to promote zip submit instead. But both are one field.

any suggestions on how to improve it so it produces more leads?

Hi loginname,

I would suggest going with YouTube as your ONLY source of traffic. You should try other ways to market such as article marketing or perhaps Twitter or Facebook. If you vary your methods, you will get a higher chance to get more leads.

Also, why don't you promote another type of offer instead of the email submit. No, I am not pertaining to the zip submit, why not other offers that pays more? I could imagine those two leads to be worth more if only you have chosen another offer to promote.

Also, do you promote your video? If yes, do you check your design and does it lead your viewers to be actually interested in your CPA offer. Here are some things to ponder on.
