Facebook Ads success stories?

Any stories here from anybody who has had recent success advertising on Facebook? If so, was it a lead type offer or a physical sale offer?

Their platform looks amazing in terms of targeting, but everything I read keeps saying that the conversion rate (other than for lead generation) is absolutely terrible.

Stories anybody?

    Hello,
just be careful that you read the terms of any ads that you place on facebook
as many of them do not want to be advertised that way.

I did a few ads on facebook and the money went very fast with not the best results.

Facebook is definitely a great traffic source to do lead gens, education, dating, gaming downloads and etc.

Here are some tips to get you going in Facebook.

1). Check out 4houraffiliate.com they have a FB ad tool that can help you make 100s of ads easily

2). Get on Tracking202 to set up your affiliate link for Facebook.

Put the destination URL that you get from Step 7 on Prosper/Tracking202. On Step 3 have it directed to something big mainstream. For example on Scholarships. Have it directed to Scholarships.com. On the Facebook have the campaign on paused while pending approval. Once it is approved switch the links to your affiliate link and then run it.

3). Facebook is a fickle beast. What get approved now can maybe not get approve later. Just keep submitting ads over and over,

4). Remember to place keywords to the interest of the demographics. Like artists, movies, tv shows that the demo is interested in.

5). The picture has to be interesting and does not even have to do anything with the offer. The ad copy/ headline should presell it. However the picture has to be interesting and something again the demo would be interested in clicking on. You want CTR of .10 and above.

Also if you want to watch a webinar that we ran a couple of months ago in our network. Feel free to PM me and I'll be more than happy to send you the link for it.

        All the Best,
        Feldo

    Facebook Ads absolutely kick ass!

You will have better luck running "entertaining" type offers, that's all I will say on that for now

Also, high CTR's are rewarded with excessively cheap clicks, so test, test, test different ad copy and stick with the ones that draw clicks.

I have often see alot of negative reviews of the Facebook PPC. Alot of people lost money and their time creating ads. At the end of the day...THe conversion rate is almost ZERO percent.

Some prefer to use MSN PPC....Better than facebook ppc.

This are what i known so far.

I had some limited success with Facebook. As you said, the targeting is excellent but conversion not too good, but 8% did.

I've been destroying Facebook since Facebook Flyers came out - and it's one of my primary sources of traffic. I've created several free guides for affiliates of my networks and we provide 1 on 1 support getting people started.

Huge volume. Lots of competition. LOTS of international volume. I love Facebook and I still make bankrolls off of it. Hit me up if you have any questions or need any help.

I usually put my sites on the wall of my facebooks and boom it suddenly all my friends where visiting the sites. If you want to gain lot of money using facebook you should add more people that are suitable to the sites you are promoting. I quit suggestion make every hour post so that it always updated.

I submitted 3 ads in the make money online and dating niches but Facebook disapproved all of them. One of them was promoting my own product, not a CPA offer. Their advertising policies are too restrictive.
I don't know which niches they want you to promote in.

Any suggestions on getting ads approved on Facebook?

Are there people making money on facebook, is that the question at hand?

There are definitely people making TONS of money on facebook, it's just a different perspective is needed to achieve that kind of success. Anyone who's manipulating that system is unlikely to share as it's pretty unsaturated with people who ACTUALLY know what they're doing.

    (IMHO.)

Well I don't think it's too hard to get approved by Facebook if you look at all the existing ads that are out there already. Just promote a similar offer that goes to a similar landing page or just promote the same thing! :-)

I just got into facebook ads today and here's what I found.

You need a CTR over .08% for winning campaigns.

CPC sucks, go with CPM, but be sure to watch your ads closely if your using CPM bidding.

      Here's what I found:

      1.

I just tested about 15 different images and varying about 20 different demographics for a few offers and let me tell you it's as real pain to find converting offers because there are so many variables. I spent all day, approx. 14 hours loading images, finding new ones, loading new ad copy ect... at the end of the day I found a few winning campaigns.

      2. Facebook is odd, a campaign I had approved last night was rejected for a different age group, same image, same copy, same offer it just doesn't make sense. I didn't change a single thing.

      3. Target less than 300k people to increase your CTR. I know I know it seems like going after 5 million people to get massive traffic is tempting, but trust me, if your CTR sucks facebook won't server you impressions, especially for CPC.

At the end of the day I found a campaign that will scale to near $100 daily profit. I spent about $60 today runnin offers and made about $15, but out of that I found a winner that will easily got to $100 daily profit now that I found the right image that pulls well and the right demographic combine with the right offer.

I'll post back tomorrow and let you know how I am doing.

I found a campaign that's having good success and has huge upscale potential on facebook, however I am now noticing for the CPM bids they server you in spurts.... I don't get it.

When I look at my traffic, it's literally right on the hour that they send me a surge of trafffic, 11:15 am to 11:18 am then again at 12:15pm to 12:18pm then again at 1:15 pm to 1:18pm I get about 60 clicks in those 4 minute spurts.

I've tried increasing my CPM bid to 42 cents and I have a CTR near .2% which is considered awesome on facebook.

My next step that I am considering is just making 5 or so variations of the ad so that I can soak up more traffic.

It's at about a 50% margin right now, I'll keep you posted and update numbers.

Hint: You need to be creative... very creative to succeed on facebook. Don't copy everyone elses ad, honestly I started there and it's just a bunch of people who are just trying to see what works and most aren't making money... you really need to go outside of the box, once you do that you'll have more success.

I often find forum posts, social medias and yahoo etc., asking you to link your facebook account with theirs, this may get some traffic but how far it is effective may depend upon one's consistent efforts to promote. It seems hard. There are people who talk about getting plenty of sale for their products and services

I've continued to put in a ton more of facebook ads. I am planning on getting the facebook tools software that John Volk recommends.

Just to give you an idea, I've created over 80 variations of ads on facebook. This software I am hoping will make it a lot easier.

So far the best converting offers on facebook are e-mail and zip submits. I've had a few convert on the long form insurance offers.

My zip submits conversion went through the roof after changing the landing page where I literally tell the end user what to do... ie "submit your zip"

Localized targeting also helped for conversions. >>> Age 33 FL Drivers for example. Targeting the city works even better.

      To date:

1 profitable campaign yielding about $15 a day in 1 state (if I scale this to more states and more targeting I'll probably get it to near $100 daily)

1 campaign (cartoon me) at break even.... a little tweaking on the lander will probably get this one profitable.

Don't get me wrong I went through a TON of losing campaigns with what are now profitable ones by only changing the demographics, images and titles.... once you get one near break even you have to keep tweaking.

All the information shared by sp33dr4ge99 is amazing, but Facebook has changed their advertising policies recently (I think it was less than 2 months ago), and they are no longer allowing people to promote email and zip submits. So we need to be careful and focus on other types of offers .

There is more information here: New Facebook Advertising Policies

I lost a lot of money on facebook, ctr was 0.09+, i was getting many clicks but they were hardly converting, i was promoting some dating offer.

If ctr is high and conversions are low, you are probably not qualifying the clickers enough to sign up for your dating offer. Or you may have missed your target audience, or may be too broadly targeted. Think of creative ways on how to go deep into what your ideal lead may be and his likes and interests.
