Markethealth.com reoccurring billing CPA - are they FTC compliant? - should I promote or stay away?

I guess the title pretty much explains it all. Markethealth CPA offers look pretty good but but with the reoccurring billing stuff and the new FTC regulations I'm a little bit in doubt. So what is your opinion and advice? Should i promote these "free trial" offers or stay away?

    Markethealth is one of the better networks, and free trials often convert well. If you are going to promote free trials in any network, Markethealth is one of the better networks to work with.

      Thanks for the answer. I know they're a reputable network but I am kind of worried about the fact that those rebills on free trials are kind of shady and very hard to cancel for the customer...

        Yeah...you will have to make your own judgement call on that. If you find a product you want to promote, do a little research on that product and see what you can find. If you don't find many complaints and everything seems okay with the offer, then I would say go for it.

      I agree with Simon and further...

      It is not the CPA network that matters - it is the offer that matters.

      The FTC started the ball rolling but the real action is coming from the card brands (Visa, MasterCard, etc...).

      The card brands are putting the hurt on merchants and even big, name brand companies are impacted if they have any kind of trial offer. They have new rules and only those who comply will survive.

      Right now, I am letting the dust settle and NOT promoting any offers with re-occurring billing unless they play by the new rules.

        Yes ditto to that TE2.

        We get great CR from them and no complaints yet but new rules are worth watching. Let me clarify that we have not pulled down any offers and are still pumping their lifetime supply program ($50 payout).

        I think the lifetime supply was kind of an answer to this problem because they knew they had to do something. By doing a test order we found them to be straightforward but some of the print was kind of small... I think it will get past the consumers just fine - I'm just concerned like the rest of the folks here that the ftc will shut them down suddenly.

        We're seeing 2.45% conversion ratios and they payout in two weeks.... So if you're the adventurous type.

        I didn't even know that Market Health still offered FREE-Trial Offers.

        On BowtrolColonCleanse.com (For Example) if you fill out the form and press submit it will take you to a normal check out page and there is no free trial offer.

        On the affiliate page it still says "CPA Options: $30 CPA Paid Offer", but there is no CPA option.

        This is a good thing for me because I get a steady income from MH so I don't want them getting their Visa Or Mastercard account suspended for 3 to 6-months while they are investigated.

          Yeah I stopped promoting their free trial offers...

          After you fill out the order form on a free trial it's exactly the same price as the "buy 2 bottles get 1 free" offer.

          I don't really see a difference between the 2 except 1 pays out more...

          Maybe I'm just missing something.....

    Phobos - I run a couple of offers from Market Health. When you set up a campaign to get your links, you can choose to direct your customers to a free trial or a complete sale. If you don't feel good about the trials, use the sale links
