Hi,
I do need some help from all you great CPA marketers here.
I am stuck at this point and cannot go ahead before I am sure about this.
I asked everyone I could think of who could help me with this simple question, but for some reason,no reply.Maybe my question is too stupid to be answered!

Anyways here is my question.
I want to promote an offer at a CPA network. When I check the banners and get the codes for the banner I dont see any affilite id etc in the banner code.

Am I expected to see my affiliate id number on the code or something else. How do I know that banner is linked to my affiliate id and I will get credit for the traffic/leads.

There is just one number in the banner code, which is not my id.
Now when I get codes for other offers that number changes.
Is that how its supposed to happen or am I supposed to put in my tracking link somewhere?

I cannot go ahead unitil this is clear to me since I dont want to drive trafiic and not get credit for it.

Can someone please point me in the right direction.I just need this information to go ahead.

Your best chance is to contact your CPA manager to make sure a thing as strained out and working fine. I know it can be talking working one-on-one with the CPA bigwigs but trust me in the long run you'll be happy you built that relationship.

      Thanks Tonio,
I think I will do that,I just didn't want to seem as if I am doubting them so I was thinking twice before calling.
I did ask this question once before to another CPA network, and the guy seemed offended.

Most CPA networks have a user control panel where it lists your offers, clicks, and earnings. Click on your offer and see if the click shows up in your affiliate network home page.

I would do one better than that. If I am working for the first time with a CPA network, the very first inquiry is ALWAYS someone I know from a different IP! Any NEW set up has to be tested. So you can see if it goes all the way through the system.

It is a small risk to pay to make sure all the planets are aligned properly.

Plus I or anyone else I work with could easily make a mistake. It happens to the best of us, so test EVERYTHING all the way through.

And yes you can call them, and you might be able to trust what they say, but ALWAYS VERIFY.

          $0.02

EDITED POST - I edited this post to refect that fact that we are talking about CPA. I initially responded saying I would purchase the product which holds true for any commission based affiliate programs you might sign up for. (Obviously CPA is all about leads so there is no way to purchase to test.) Always purchase the item you are trying to sell, not only to have it in your hot little hand and do a proper review but to make sure the commission tracks all the way to your account.

Thanks for your answers everyone. It is very much appreciated.

Kenstar, I do see something like "a href" and then a number which looks like a tracking url,but the tracking url it shows for the offer for me is different than the one shown in the banner code.

      Thats confusing me.

    Hi kenstar,
Sorry could not reply to you earlier. After the a href there is a 5 word-letter-link-like thing. It looks like a tracking url.

The first few letters are the same like my tracking url something like z.abcde.com/35xyz.

The z.abcde.com is in my tracking url,the number and alphabets after that are different for different banners.I guess that would be the banner code or something.

    I hope I am right.
