Split Testing Wordpress

Hi All,

New to the forums. So hello to everyone.

I was hoping to get some input on different split testing software for wordpress pages. I've created a campaign centered around a landing page on wordpress, but all of the split tracking software I have looked into seems more complicated than I need.

Essentially, I'm running Tracking202. I would just like to know which page (A or B) gets a better CTR. Easy enough right?

However, after looking through split testing software that works with Wordpress for a few days and having no luck, I figured it was about time to come ask the experts.

I would appreciate any input you guys have. Just for the record, my latest test was with Google Website Optimizer, but the setup just seems overly complicated for a simple A/B test... Maybe I am just overthinking this, but if anyone has a better software, I would appreciate it.

    Jeff,

    You might want to check out the Website Optimizer plugin for Wordpress.

    Google Website Optimizer Plugin for WordPress by ContentRobot

    That should help make the setup a little bit easier.

    The other thing you might want to look for is a split testing plugin for
    Wordpress.

    I searched "split test wordpress plugin" and found this:

    Haven't used it myself, but FirePow is owned by a Warrior here, Andrew Hansen.

      That does help Jason. Thanks for the reply.

      My biggest issue is that I set it all up (correctly I believe), and it verified just fine through GWO, but nothing is happening...

      Shouldn't I be able to go to my "original" page and be served either the "original" or "variation 1"?

      Every time I go to "original" I get served the "original" page.

      I feel like I am missing something here...

      Any help is appreciated.

    You also could use Tracking 202 (a free software) and it tracks clicks, ctr, conversions, conversion ratios, epc and total revenues earned.

      I'm actually using Tracking202 in addition to GWO. My problem right now is that Tracking202 doesn't have a way (that I know of at least) to A/B test a Wordpress landing page.

      I do know that they can split test basically any other type of page.

      I think I am just missing something here... I can't imagine everyone else has this much trouble setting up a system to split test their landing pages.

        Actually you can rotate landing pages or even different URL's in prosper. You just have to set it up for it.

          I didn't know that. I just dug into the system more and figured it out. Talk about over thinking something...

            It's a WordPress Split Testing plugin....

            Its not live yet, but will be in a couple of days... and will have a WSO to boot in just a couple of days as well...

            I'll have a review copy post about it tomorrow... looking for reviewers and testimonials.

              The first challenge was custom CSS for every page, and navigating my way through the maze of which functions initialized at which time within the WordPress core, such that the style sheet used is determined by the page selected in the default custom layout selector.
