Squeeze/Sandwich Page or Not?

Successful Warriors...

When promoting a CPA offer, do you find that a squeeze or sandwich page increases your CTR or not?

Yes, I understand the value of listing building, et al, but really would like to get an idea if that intermediate step increases your sales...or is direct linking just as effective...

As usual, thanks for any and all enlightenment...

Generally squeeze pages wont increase your conversion. But thats not the point of the squeeze page. The point is to build a list and ultimately maximize the lifetime value of each and every lead.

Essentially lifetime money in the pocket trumps all metrics.

Do some testing and see how your conversion rate reacts to the squeeze and if you preliminarily think the backend will make up for any lost conversion!

Thanks Kenster...you pretty much confirmed my initial suspicions...I do realize the value of a lifetime list...but have been reading too much and not testing enough!

I had this idea in my mind for a while, where I put up a lousy landing page and almost NO ONE clicked on them after around 200 impressions. So I thought why not try to put up a squeeze page and capture leads (only email required) rather than wasting my money capturing nothing at all, because people are not even clicking on my LP ! lol...

So I guess I would bribe them using a similar offer, entice them into my mailing list, and then slowly pumping things up at the backend. Only after testing things out, we would know the result, right?

That's what I've been trying to do ...

    Good stuff Aiden...

And remember selling to your list on the backend is a whole new strategy in itself. Be sure to do research on the best way to monetize your list once you start growing a large list.

I don't mean to bring this thread back from the dead.... but a buddy of mine did 30k per month strictly CPA offers (one in particular) for about 3 months in a row by always going to an opt-in first then selling afterward. The majority of his sales came from the first few follow up emails. Work from home niche, just bidding on high priced clicks and going from there.... he still won't show me his auto responder series =)

Definitely believable because you can usually outbid someone who is promoting a direct link offer as an affiliate because your EPC is going to be higher in the long run promoting the back end products.

Some things are good being revived from the dead!!!

Especially the concept in this thread. Your goal is to maximize the lifetime value of a prospect or put differently, making the most present valued dollars as possible...the most money in the bank! In this case, building a list and selling in the future seems to be working just fine. Its an important concept to understand and it works!
