Yes. I agree with Chris. Spliting ad copies is the best way for testing AD and wait for the results. If not then repeat the steps with different ad copy and a different landing page as well. Sometimes Landing page doesn't work with your ad copy and made your quality score down.

However, CPA offers are much different and require a different type of landing page.

Thanks Jeffrey and yes I agree that CPA requires different layouts. Mostly my clients want me to focus on squeeze pages so they can drive the visitors they want.

Your questions is too vague...

There are many different types of CPA offers as well as many different traffic source. Each combination between offer and traffic source requires a different approach. A landing page to promote a dating offer with PPV is very different than a landing page to promote a free trial with PPC.

So you have 2 options:

1. Give us more information about what you're intending to do so that we can help you choose the best alternative.

2. Take a look on what your competitors are doing and figure out what's the best alternative for your campaigns.

spy on the competition, no matter if its a squeeze, cpa, whatever. Just get a feel of how to grab the surfer, keep them reading and make sure to get their contact info (email forms, etc) even if they don't buy anything.
Landing pages can be simple straight .html pages with built in css, just a few images, and a few tables to hold your forms, aff links, text, ect. Just wonder around w3schools.com for a little while and you'll be coding in no time.
Keep writing outside articles with free submits on top of your ppc campaign.

you can add some more useful section that viewers might get interested. Some free downloads related to products you are targeting on lading page or any quality free stuff that user might get only your page..
