$120 in pure profit from one type phrase and CPA...

Just wanted to post this. I put up a small blog in the health/beauty niche about a month ago where I put reviews of 3-4 products that payout $30-$40 per sale. I also had a few content articles as well.

Anyway, so I let this blog sit and have not done anything else.

Then I went to open up my Azoogle account and bam! $120 in sales for this month so far! I was like, how in the WORLD did I make sales. I had 8 CLICKS total on one of my product review pages, and 3 of them converted at $40 a pop!

After some research, I found where the sales were coming from. It was a TYPO of the product in a small two word phrase. And I have my page #2 in Google for it. So it was free traffic.

What is funny is that I actually have THAT typo in my article so that is why it ranked. Low low searches, but obviously converts like mad so far when they do land.

LESSON: Never underestimate typo traffic!

Great work Dayne, typo traffic is a gold mine when utilized correctly. Keep up the great work, now scale that up with the other products on the blog and more.

Haha nice man, yeah its funny how stuff like that happens. This is the power of creativity. I have some typo campaigns for this very reason.

Start expanding on that campaign with other typos or just other articles etc. You can probably milk a lot more out of it.

It's crazy because all I did was mistype the product name ONCE in the article. lol

The good news is, that means with only 8 clicks and 3 sales, that is a high conversion so the product review page must convert very well (or so it seems so far). I may try to throw that page up on Yahoo or Bing in PPC to see how it does.

Awesome success man! I like it. You are 100% correct to never underestimate type-in traffic. I'm amazed at how many people even Google for a domain name directly instead of typing it into the browser bar. Great for low-cost PPC

Now nearly $200 in sales/profit for the month on that one typo. It would be nice to crack $300 a month for it. Now that I know the page converts like crazy, I may run some other traffic to it as well, like Google Adwords....but the thing is, it is a review, so I don't know if it will get slapped.

I hope you are doing the exact same thing with a few more typos. Would be nice to get $1000 per month on autopilot huh!

Yes Kenster, the thing is, even when I type the typo into a keyword tool, it shows no searches. So I'm not sure how to go about doing more typos that "might" get traffic, do more of the same review and just add those typos. Not sure how to proceed on it really.

Yeah, but the thing is, you don't need a ton of traffic. You aren't getting a ton of traffic on your other typo, but its converting, that's all that matters.

Even if you get 15 clicks per month, if you are converting a few, then its worth it. Try setting up some small streams like this, then go for the river!

are you putting the typos in articles on your webpage or are you sending the articles to a directory with typos.

Typo is in a unique article on my site. It is simply a typo of the product name and it is showing up in Google.

Might want to be a bit careful of doing it too much on purpose.

Some people may not want to buy from somebody who misspells the product he/she is promoting.

You sort of put the credibility of your authority at risk.

Typos are absolutely amazing for banking on.

People don't leverage enough on misspellings made by people.

I easily make several hundred a month from some "no-brainer typos" (without even trying hard).

    Go get them!
